Our family is getting so excited for our cruise! We are having so much fun planning, researching and counting down until we leave. Is anyone doing anything special to count down?

For anyone who will have kids planning on hanging out in Edge, we would love to have our 11 year old daughter find a couple of buddies she can socialize with. She has high functioning autism and tries very hard to be social. She is very much looking forward to being in the 'tween' club but we are worried that she won't fit in.

So excited! Just booked this cruise! This will be our first cruise! My husband and I and our two young children! Did I mention that I am excited?

They might join as it gets closer, I have not set a cutoff date yet so we can go into the beginning of April and see if we get more families to join. Thanks for recruiting!

I think I replied to most of the families that were interested in the fish extender. Guess we will wait and see. Really excited to start buying gifts!

Just checking in. We are back from a recent vacation and now it is time for me to focus on this one! I'm looking forward to going as we are going with another family that hasn't been on a DCL cruise before. Love experiencing Disney trips with people that get to see things for the first time. Today I spent a bit of time downloading graphics for our door (DD9 just simply HAS to have frozen stuff this time around) and thinking about what we are going to do for FE gifts and also some Pixie Dust surprises for people. In the past our PD surprises have been RedSox schedules on a Mickey Head - but I just can't seem to find a circular schedule to do that this year!

Does anyone have a date in mind for cutoff? I know when hand making FEs, having a date is helpful. Let me know what you think!

April 1st is a good cutoff for me as well. I'm having a really hard time with the hubby gifts and the boys. I can get gifts for little girls all day long and women are easy for me too, but I've never bought for teenage boys. Any ideas for men and boys? What did they like in the past if cruised before?

April 1st it is! I agree, the boys/men are the hardest! My youngest at the time received one of the parachute cord bracelet and he wore that forever. He was 13 or 14. My oldest is pretty picky about everything but he never minded the candy that was given to him! I got a lot of ideas on Pintrest and the FE Facebook page. Our group here is small and the girls/women are easy so I've only worked on them. The men I will figure out and start when the girls are done this weekend.

I'm making key chains, the boys key chains are different than the ones for the girls. They are all made from cold porcelain and hand made.

Ok, I will start the FE here but hopefully we will get more families to join as the sail date gets closer! So it's pretty easy to begin, I just need your stateroom number, who will be participating (first names) I like to makes sure we know if the kids are boy or girls just in case so a boy would be DS (Disney son) and girl DD (Disney daughter). This was all new to me years ago too, but its been fun to learn. And honestly now that you have found the DISboards, you may end up having a Disney obsession like most who discover it!! If you haven't done so yet, I know there is a LOT of information on here, but my favorite part of these boards are the trip reports. Some people really can write and they are very entertaining! I get up early with my coffee on Saturday mornings just to read them.
