I don’t know how the check-in threads get started. As near as I can tell, someone just gets it going. Our trip straddles March and April. I’d be willing to host the check-in threads, but don’t know if there’s any particular rules for running them.

If you want to start the April 2020 Check In thread, go ahead! The person who starts it should be the one who maintains it, i.e. keeps track of all the people who will be making April 2020 trips, their trip dates and hotels, listing those in the first post, staying on top of questions (you don't have to answer all of them, but trying to keep the thread on topic and in line), listing any events and special things that Disney posts, etc. You can look at some of the other check in threads to get an idea of what this looks like in general. And you can always ask for help when you need it -- no worries!

Let me check out the February and June threads and see if I think I can do it. I've been working 70 hours weeks lately and wouldn't want to start something I couldn't properly maintain.

That's wise! We have people who jump in, thinking that all they have to do is post the first post -- then... the mods will do the rest. Ummm... not really such a helpful idea. We have lots on our plates already!

I don't think that thread is DLR specific because it isn't located on this board (which is why people here couldn't find it). I think we still need one for this board. So if someone wants to start one, go ahead!

I just started the March thread, because March comes first lol. Depending on how it goes and my work load, I’ll try to start the April one in a few weeks if no one else has.

The holidays are over, work starts over "for real" tomorrow, and lord knows the only thing that's going to get me through the next 90 days of frozen, dark, miserable winter is thinking about Disney anyway!

Give it a couple hours since I do still need to feed my family, and I'll have an April group going tonight.
