Who's planning an April 2012 trip. We are planning on going over our school break. April 14-21! We'll be staying at Pop Century. We are a family of 6, so we'll have 2 rooms. This will be our first time staying at Pop. I'm very exciited! I'm planning on the quick service dining plan and of course.....as always.....hoping for a good deal! :cool1:

OMG!!! Us too!!! We'll be there April 5th through April 13th!!! Trying to decided probably doing 2 rooms at POP or 1 room at Wilderness....awww the dilemmas of life! :rotfl2:

3rd week of April here. Not sure where we are going to stay. I want to try AKL in the worst way. But budget might be the way we go... not sure. Have to see what deals come out. I like to stay somewhere we havent before. We have stayed at POFQ and Pop. We actually loved Pop way more than POFQ! Looks like it might be off peak, so we might get something good!
Now to pass the time ;)

We are looking at April 13-21 OR April 14th-22nd. Thinking of POR. Stayed at POP this past April and had a great time!! Will be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary a few weeks early:goodvibes Have to go during April vacation, but that is OK!! Now the decision is book now or wait??? Add the dining plan or pay oop this year...hmmm love the TS but is it worth if for 4 Adults? I will be here to keep all us April 12'ers company:rotfl:

We're looking at either April 22-28 or April 29-May 5. This will be an adults-only trip for DH and I to celebrate our 25th anniversary!

Does anyone have an idea of what the crowds may be like at this time? We're hoping since Easter is April 8, that the crowds (and the prices) will be lower by the end of the month. Would that still be considered "spring break time"?

I will be there 4/22 through 4/29. We will be staying at Shades of Green. My husbands best friend is active military and is being deployed in January 2012. His wife, her 2 kids and me and my 3 kids are going!! I am so excited!!!

So we've decided to let DS take his 2 DBFFs :goodvibes .... therefore we're going to go for Port Orleans Riverside (Alligator Bayou..however you spell it...lol) section. DS is soooooo excited! It will be the trip of a lifetime for these sweet boys who have been best friends since they were like 3!

ps. they are 12 now...so I joke and tell them their friendships have lasted longer than most celebrity marriages!

Just got back from a 2 week stay at Ft. Wilderness and we'll be back March 31 through April 7.

Now if I could only find that link to the countdown tickers again...

WOW I can't believe that ASMO is finally getting a refurb! We might have that resort in our lineup for a contender this trip! We stayed there when the boys were very little for years in a row. We stopped when we tried POP, newer/cleaner. So our choices are ASMO, POR, AKL (pool view) it all depends on the discounts!! Anyone book already? Our dates are looking like April 13-21, 14-22, OR 13-22nd! Hope to see more April 12ers come along:rotfl2:

Count us in! We will be staying at Animal Kingdom Villas 4/8-4/14. We are finally becoming Annual Passholders on our September 2011 trip, so no dining plan for us in April. I'm going to invest in a TiW card. We have never been during "peak" time like Spring Break, so I confess I'm a bit nervous about the crowds. But still, a crowded Disney beats being home any day!

Us too!! As long as plans don't change, we'll be there April 25th - April 29th. Just my dh and I, don't want to be the one to have to tell the kids! We may just stick with the "mommy and daddy are going to ORLANDO," they're young, maybe they won't catch on, lol!!

I have always wanted to do an "adults only" trip and while we all know that Disney with kids is fun, it's freaking EXHAUSTING!! I can't wait to just be able to sleep in, people watch, wander aimlessly around.

Tossing around the idea of an Epcot resort, but the price is scaring us away. Unless there is a really good % off discount, it will be the AKL, our favorite resort.

We're going the second week of April, right after Easter (we'll actuall be there for Easter). But now I'm worried since this is our kids first trip and we don't know how much or what in Fantasyland will be open at that point. I'm hoping they wait to close anything until after spring break crowds, but you never know with Disney.

As you can see from my siggy, we usually go at this time. 2 years ago it was about the same set up (Easter in early April) and we went end of April. Crowds were low to low/moderate in my opinion. I'd say about a 4 on scale of 1-10. With a good plan it was so stinking manageable. Except for our one day in animal kindgom (it was an EMH day there and was NUTS)... we did really well.

Have a great time! DH and I went this year for our 10th anniversary and it was heavenly.

Just a heads up to all April planners that Jetblue will be extending their schedule to include all of April on Sunday July 17th at Noon!!!!!!!!! I will be ready to book our flights on Sunday :)

haven't booked anything yet and its killing me:lmao: I am waiting to see if there are any package deals that come out. Also the jetblue flights are outrageous! So now play the wait and see game with SW! If Jetblue goes down then they are our first choice. Our dates are going to be April 13-22nd, just deciding on the hotel. Am I all by my lonesome here?:rotfl2:

All this talk of free dining for the fall is making me antsy! I so want to book, but haven't. Anyone think that 1,300.00 is a good price for airfare for 4 people r/t nonstop?? I am looking at Jetblue still and the original dates that we wanted April14-22nd are so high that it is scary...BUT if we were to fly in on April11th late afternoon until Friday April 20th the price is 1,300.00! What to do??? Any words of wisdom????:worship:

we did book with Jetblue:banana: April 11th-April 20th! Kids will miss a bit of school, but we save money by traveling on those dates;)

Count us in! We have always gone in January for the past 4 years, but since DS has started middle school, taking him out for a week is not an option. We are heading to WDW March 31st-April 8th! :cool1: We will be staying at POP for the 2nd year in a row. Cannot wait! Hopefully the crowds won't be too bad. Anyone else been there the week before Easter recently that can comment on the crowds? Thanks! :goodvibes

we were there last April 2011 the week leading up to Easter, and we had a blast! We had always traveled the first week of May. Comes a time when the kids can't or do not want the stress of missing too much school though:confused3 so we started going the week of our April vacation in APril 2010. That year it was amazing how low the crowds were! Last year it was a bit more noticeable, but we were at Rope Drop for each park and did what we wanted with little to NO waits at all! We saved up our fastpasses from the morning and used them up later on after dinner! We noticed the crowds getting heavier as the week went on but it didn't damped our fun time! We left on Good Friday. THis year we are doing it again but our vacation is not the same week as Easter in 2012 so we are going 11th-20th. Our school vacation is April 16-20. Don't be scared off by everyone that says it is a horrible time to go:thumbsup2

We will be there April 3-8, 2012 b/c my daughter is dancing at DTD Easter weekend. Normally we would choose to go the 1st or 2nd week of June, but the last time we went the first week of April 2010 and the crowds were fine. We did the early magic hours each day at a different park, came back to the resort to swim/nap, and then went back to the park that had late magic hours after that. We haven't decided where to stay yet. We are looking at the Movies Resort or POFQ. We will have 6 people in our party, so we have to get two rooms.
