Hi All!!!

I am now thinking I need to get back to WDW and would like to be there around the time Expedition Everest opens (allegedly April 22nd, which is my birthday so I am figuring why not celebrate in WDW!) so I am looking at 4/24 to 4/28. It will probably be another solo trip for me to the Pop Century and I am trying to plan smart this time, so.... my question is, should I book a rack rate package through WDW or should I check out the AAA discount? I am not currently a AAA member but have thinking about getting a membership for reasons besides travel (ie. not trusting my car lately! LOL). One of my other big questions is, does AAA book the full Magic Your Way packages now (hotel, tix, and dining plan) ?

I would appreciate any replies shared and of course any other ideas of things I should consider to help me save a little more for souveneirs! LOL

Thank you!

If you are only staying 4 nights at a value, then AAA is not going to save you a lot of money. They only give you a % off of rack hotel rates (not tickets or dining plan). If you become a first time member, the fee probably will not outweigh the savings from the package. Although, AAA does give a few other benefits that aren't available to those who book through CRO...the Diamond Card gives a small discount at some stores at WDW. There is an exclusive AAA lounge (with A/C!!!) in Tomorrowland that you get to use and includes a free drink. You can use the Diamond Parking spaces if you have a car. Those extra perks aren't alot, but for some it's enough to make it worth it.

However, if you intend on getting AAA for non-WDW benefits and not solely for booking this vacation, then the cost of the membership is not as much of a factor.

AAA absolutely books packages now...I got a MYW package w/10 day hoppers and dining plan for October of this year through AAA.
