April 20, 2012: 5 Night Bahamian Cruise

Looks like no thread has been started for this cruise yet! So, let's get this party started!
I'll start this thread by introducing myself. My name is Michael Hajjar, my (DW) is Jackii and we have 2 kids, (DD) Ashley-17 and (DD) Reagan-10. We are from Pennsylvania (The Pittsburgh side) . We have been to WDW several times but this will be out first cruise. We usually go to WDW every March or November but this year we decided to try something a little different.
Jackii loves doing research before going on our Disney trips and without missing a beat, she started learning all about Disney Cruises and FE's (Fish Extenders)...

I am hoping to get this thread rolling and meet some of the people going before we start are magical vacation.
Can't wait to meet new people as we plan this vacation!

We love disney and try to do a couple trips to the world a year but this will be our first disney cruise. DH has cruised other lines before but for me, DD and DS it will be a whole new experience. I can't tell you how excited DD is to be going on "the mickey boat"! Can't wait to see everyone on board!

We will be joining you as well on the April 20th 5 Night Bahama Cruise.

This is also our very first Disney Cruise. We have been to Disney a couple times as well.

Coming on board will be myself, DH, DS (5 at time of cruise) and DD (will be turning 9 during the cruise) and my MIL and FIL (AKA Nana and Pops). We are super excited.

I am new to the Disney Cruise line stuff so I can't wait to learn all I can.

Hi Everyone! We were originally on the 4/25 sailing of this cruise but had to switch due to work. It will be my FI (by then DH) and myself. This will be our 4th cruise all on DCL! (We've cruised twice on the Dream and once on the Wonder). We're really excited about going to Key West as we've been wanting to go there for a while! We'll be on deck 2 and booked a Category 9D Deluxe Oceanview room on deck 2.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum but DH and I and our 2 little girls (who will be 5 1/2 yrs and almost 3 yrs for our trip) are going on the April 20th cruise as well! This is our first cruise and we are VERY excited. I'm a sucker for everything Mickey (we share the same birthday) and we feel that my youngest is a bit too young to enjoy Disneyworld just yet. So, we went with the Disney cruise for now instead!

We haven't told our girls yet as we thought we would let it be a surprise for my ODD's birthday at the end of November. She's having an Ariel themed birthday so what better way then to have Ariel call her up on the phone and tell her about the cruise.

Speaking of which, has anyone used the character phone call option on the Disneycruise website yet? I'm just curious what they say. You are allowed 2 calls per cruise booked so maybe we'll test it out first.

Anyway, looking forward to chatting with all of you!

First time posting, I will be on the Magic on the 20th with my wife and daughter 7. We will be celebrating 10 years with dvc and 20 years of marriage. First time cruise can't wait.

Hello all! We are now less than 200 days until we cruise! I am getting so excited. It seems like for most of us this is a first cruise. (Herb102211 will have to help us all!) Is anyone interested in doing the fish extender?

Hi everyone!

We just switched our onboard rebooking special from the Mexican Rivera to the 4/25 date and now just had to switch to this one bc of other obligations - third times a charm?!? Lol We are booked in 2556 and it will just be my husband Jamie (36) and myself, Katie, (30) and this will be our second Disney Cruise. Our first cruise was just earlier this year for our honeymoon and we did the Western Caribbean that also stopped at Key West. We simply fell in love with cruising and can't wait for this cruise to arrive! Silly as it sounds, we also loved participating in the FE on the other cruise - even though we are adults, it was still a lot of fun to come back to our room and see what "goodies" were waiting for us!

I'm looking forward to the coming days and the countdown

We just booked our cruise last night and are very excited! It will be myself and my DH and DS (3.5 years old) we are leaving our 12 month old twin girls at home to get a break!!!

This is our first cruise but we have a great contact who is a DCL veteran and has given us a ton of information and been very helpful through the booking process.

We are interested in doing the fish extenders but have no idea how to have it happen!

We are planning to go to Atlantis in the Bahamas and do something like a museum in Key West.

Hello everyone! My DH (Rick) and I (Debra) will be joining all of you on the happiest cruise shipin the world! It will just be my DH and I on the cruise. This will be our 4th cruise on the Disney Magic. We went on the Mediterranean cruise last year and just came back on the western transatlantic cruise this past Sept. We had the best time, especially with all the people we got to know ahead of time through disboards! We had the fever so bad that husband went ahead and booked this cruise (we had to change the dates twice because of Mother's Day and our son's graduation from college! So hoping this date is a keeper! lol ) We are hoping to sign up for the 2013 DVC Members cruise (for Jan. 2013) next week-end, so keep fingers crossed for us! ) Look forward to chatting and getting to know many of you before the cruise!

I'm working on a group outing for this cruise. So far its me, DW, my sister, her husband and their three kids. There may still be a few others joining us.

We will be on the Magic for this cruise as well. Myself, DW, and the birthday girl DD turning 9. We are traveling with her 2 god fathers as well to celebrate the birthday.
After doing the 4 night cruises on Wonder and the Dream, the five night cruise is something we are really looking forward to!
