We did too..... just a covering on the driveway. Then it cleared up for a while, but now we have flurries again! I am REALLY SICK of this cold weather and can't wait to head south in 3 weeks!

Hey, everyone and DebT for sending good vibes, we were able to switch to Main dining for the first of our two cruises!!! Not this one, though. But I think that will work out great since we will be mroe used to the routine by then and have seen all the restaurants and can be more felxible with dining. Seems like a win win, actually!

Everything is coming up roses for this trip!! Love it!!! The only thing I haven't been able to secure is Palo for brunch, but I may be OK with that since it takes sooo much time out of the day and you have to change out of your lounging around the pool outfit to go! Hate that!!! Love the food, but hate the interruption to the day.

I really need to pack this weekend!

I'm a space bag packer. I guess it's like the cubes.

I put outfits together for the day in one space bag and then just pull it the morning of. The DS's haven't cared what they put on their bodies in the past, but the teenage years may have brought severe pickiness.

I bought a bunch of space bags for our first cruise with the kids years back and I actually found that buying large ziplok bags worked better for me and took up less space when I squashed the air out of them. I used this method also on our last cruise, but I think it will not fly this time around with my 6 yo who is a clothes queen and is in the mode of being a fashion diva about what she wears (sweats and sweatshirt every day and I will be damned if I can figure out why each one is picked each day, so she has to do it). I really can wait for her teen years if she is already like this!

My husband just texted me from a meeting, he was talking to another guy there and mentioned the disney cruise. Then it seemed they were going on the same date and the DIS board came up!!!! He said his wife was crazy on it!!!

I am awaiting the next break so I can get her user name, I had no idea I was near anyone!!!! What a coincidence!!!!

My husband just texted me from a meeting, he was talking to another guy there and mentioned the disney cruise. Then it seemed they were going on the same date and the DIS board came up!!!! He said his wife was crazy on it!!!

I am awaiting the next break so I can get her user name, I had no idea I was near anyone!!!! What a coincidence!!!!

I had a similar thing happen! Way back in '98, there were only around 3,000 registered on the DIS Boards. At the time, there was a post on the WDW thread about amazing coupons that a select few received in a special Disney mailing. One of the coupons was for a free ice cream social at EPCOT's Garden Grill restaurant in The Land Pavilion! Gotta admit, I was green with envy (and not happy DIS green) that we didn't receive the coupons, especially since we'd already been DVC members for 3 years, owned a little bit of Disney stock, were AP holders, etc., etc., etc. So, knowing that the coupons were going to expire soon and that we were heading to WDW before the expiration date, I took a chance and posted that we'd love to have the coupons if someone wasn't going to be able to use them. I was thrilled when someone replied they would send me theirs! So, I pm'd my snail mail address and two days later I received an envelope decorated with Mickey stickers and stuffed not only with the coupons, but also with recent theme park maps and additional stickers! Wow! When I looked to see if there was a return address, I saw it was from the town right next to ours!!! Over the next few months, we pm'd each other fairly frequently, eventually met, and our families have become life-long friends! She and I have manage to eat lunch together at least once a month, sometimes two, for the past 12 years!!!! Maybe you and this guy's wife will become life-long friends, too!

What is the weather like?
Nassau enjoys a subtropical climate with mild winters, seldom dipping below 60°F. Average temperatures range in the low to upper 80’s; with water temperature never below 72°. With that said, however, just like Florida, these are averages and during winter months be prepared for an occasional cold front to cause drastic temperature drops.

I'll be packing a little bit of everything - shorts, t-shirts, jeans, sweatshirts, light jacket, and sweater - so I'll be ready for any type of weather.

It truly is a small world. Last night my dd, who will be housesitting for us while we're gone, called me to ask what time our flight out is. Told her DirectAir has only one flight out...10:30. She told me that a friend of hers, from work, is on the same flight, heading to WDW for a dance competition!!

Totally happened to us also on our last Magic cruise!!! It was awesome!!! A board member of my husband's organization was booked on the same cruise with their family and their sister's family and they actually already were great friends of ours! We ended up doing much of our activities together and were able to rent a private sailboat in Grand Cayman together and have a blast at a large table for Palo brunch. But we were comfortable enough to go our own ways most days beyond these special events so no one felt like they were having their family time vacation invaded - important to remember.

Probably will be one of our best cruises because of that!

Oh and to DebT's point, I actually found a long lost childhood best friend again through the DIS and she was living the next town over - both of us are not from here! COOL!!! I also have a few friends I met from the DIS who live near by who have since become some of my best friends! Wonderful way to meet friends in the area with like... um... obsessions. hahahahha!!!

Hello All
Jumping in to say - we are staying at Royal Pacific in Universal Friday night before cruise, Country Inn & Suites night before cruise AND Polynesian after cruise. We are planning to go to Epcot on Thursday and Magic Kingdom on Friday. I made two dining reservations at restraunts we have never been to. Garden Grill for Friday night and 1900 Park Fare for Saturday night.
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only crazy one headed to WDW after the cruise. We are not at AKL, but we will be at BLT. That should help take the sting out of being kicked off the Dream.

Bummer we're not staying on "official" WDW property. We're at Bently Brook (Wyndham TS) BUT.... we're eating at BOMA at AKL on Thursday night (7:00 ressie)! We've never eaten there...

Friday - off to Epcot
Saturday - off to MK
Sunday - off to Studios

I'm so excited now......

Ok my friends, I think I need an intervention!!!! I can't stop buying things for the cruise!!! I took DD several weeks ago and spent a fortune on new clothes, for the cruise of course!!! Now I find after everyone goes to bed I surf the web and look for things that I "might" need. Help!!!!

3 weeks from today I will have landed at MCO and will be staying at the Hyatt, then it's off to one night at the Dolphin so we can enjoy the Boardwalk and have dinner at ESPN, it's one of those family things that we all enjoy!!

Been a rough week, my oldest DS had the flu (influenza b) pretty bad, got diagnosed too late for Tamiflu, we started giving it to DD and other DS and then other DS got sick, not as bad thankfully for the medicine! I'd rather them all get sick now instead of during the cruise, we've already all had the 24 hour stomach bug so I am hoping this is it!!!

Ok, I'm off to shop.....

The only way to stop shopping is to start packing - then you will realize you have everything you need! (or will know for sure what you still need to get). I got lots of new clothes for DD at Justice with their usual 40% off, and then we discovered P.S. store , and got more clothes. Now, P.S. sends those annoying coupons with up to 30% off and it's too late for price adjustment I diid my shopping too early....

Better be sick now vs. Later. A few years ago I got the flu 10 days before DD's bat mitzvah. Can you say NIGHTMARE!!!
