Is everybody scared , confused , or overly excited after Deb's last post?
My DH thinks that FE gifts are overtaking his gym space and that I need to stop my obsession My DD could not choose her prizes at Sports USA yesterday and when I suggested to get pencils with princesses as her prizes so that we could add them to FE gifts, she just rolled her eyes and said "calm down, mom!"

Ahhh! Disney at Thanksgiving - Love It!!
We will be there one year from today! We went in 2008 and it was awesome - best Thanksgiving. We loved the weather and the Christmas decorations...

Thanks everyone. The weather is very nice down here, much better than this time last year. Tomorrow is MK day so DD can get her hair cut on Main Street at the Harmony Barber Shop - they take reservations now so no long wait.
Not sure what today will bring or if we'll do stuff around the house.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your time there so far. Sure do wish we were all there to share it with you!

Hmmmmmm, if it were me down there, I'd definitely let the house go and spend every second in a Disney park! The cleaning would have to wait until all theme parks were closed for the day.

Ok, it's official - we will not be going to WDW next week.

Cheer competition for Pop Warner was this weekend and DD made it with her team to Regional Finals, but didn't place 1st or 2nd, so no championships...

Hmmmmm... you both live in CT... you both had hoped to go to WDW for the cheer championships... I think you should get together and go down to WDW anyway! Wouldn't that be fun!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Posting now - will be very busy cooking and hosting my parents and sister tomorrow through Friday! I love being home for a change at Thanksgiving!! My husband took off Mon - Wed, I was already off all week along with Connor...we have enjoyed a nice "Staycation"! DH worked on completing our movie theater - had hoped to watch football tomorrow but it is not ready yet...oh well!
Just changed our hotel reservation after the cruise - instead of staying CL at WL, we are now staying CL at Poly. We decided that if the five of us could share a stateroom for four nights - we could share a larger room at Poly. So today I changed over to Poly. Was very tempted to change our dates to before the cruise and take advantage of the AP rate! But my parents didn't want to pull my sister out of school for more days! Hmmm....I remember when I was a kid they would pull me out for week long Disney trips in Jan and February. These are not the same parents who raised me!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

It has been our tradition to host Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday. We have a very small family but I always cook as if we are expecting 50 guests! Now, we have an extra day of leftovers before our adult kids head back to their homes.

When I said 'our girls' I meant our team's girls -- not mine. My son is a football player for the Waterbury Knights. We're actually AYF and Cheer. They changed from Pop Warner several years ago for reasons I don't know. The Pop Warner team in our city (Waterbury Patriots) dropped their cheer program completely so all of their girls came to the Knights. Our girls won state (all 3 teams) but none placed in regionals. The 10 and under were so good and one of the favored squads but one of the girls decided to show off too much and tumbled off the mat causing 1 of many penalties for them-- they ended up 2nd to last -- very disappointing. We had high hopes for DS football team too but darn those Meriden Raiders .
