April 14,2013 Dream 4 Day...

Woke up to 5 inches of snow and 28 degrees...only 34 days till we head down to Florida before the cruise.
I can hardly wait! Now all I need is to get motivated to do some spring shopping but with the snow outside all I want to buy is warm sweaters!

Right there with you, cinmouse, we had 9.5 inches of snow on Tuesday. I'm DONE with the snow this year! 35 days til my family heads to WDW. Saturday night before the cruise we are eating at Be Our Guest in the new Fantasyland. :thumbsup2 I can't wait!

Anyone receive any cruise documents by mail yet? Originally we were booked on the Fantasy sailing for April 13th and I am still part of a Facebook group for that sailing. They've all been posting that they have been receiving their cruise documents the past few days. Ours can't be far behind! :cool1:

I'm so glad I don't have to deal with snow. That just doesn't sound fun. I hate cold weather! I haven't received any documents for the cruise yet. Maybe we will get them soon! That will be exciting! I got so busy planning the cruise, I forgot to book dining reservations. :rolleyes2 I want to do be our guest, but I think I will do it for lunch and then the dessert party on that Saturday. (it's my birthday!)

My daughter and I will be joining in with Gramma in tow. Just booked the girl's only much needed cruise vacation today.

Hey Y'all! I just wanted to update everyone on the FE! As of today, we have 8 cabins signed up, with a total of 24 people. If anyone else wants to sign up, you have until the 24th of March to do so, that way everyone has time to get everything together. When everyone is signed up, I will post maps of each deck with the participating room highlighted. Hopefully that will help. I know I definitely don't know the layout of the ship lol. :cool1: I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

This is the first time I've ever been on a Forum-let alone a Disney Cruise Line Forum :) I keep hearing about "Fish Extenders" and have read a little about them, but my question is "Is there a group of people who do it for a whole section on the ship or do we bring stuff for just our own group?" Thank you! We're getting Super excited about our TRIP!! :woohoo:

Hey! Well, the way it works is everyone who signs up to participate will give a gift to the other participants who've signed up. If you google it, you can get a lot of information about them. (I google everything lol) But if you want to sign up you can just click on this link and put in your info. :)

It snowed a little here last weekend, however this weekend it's supposed to be in the 70s. Alabamans don't do well with snow, there's alway seems to be a shortage of bread and milk at the stores. :)

We will have to start keeping an eye out for our documents! So excited, just a little over a month away! :)

Now's a great time to buy the sweaters though - they're on clearance. :teeth:

I'm done with snow too, and we haven't even had that much at once this year at all. BOG looks wonderful. :lovestruc

Sounds like a great way to spend your birthday :)

That sounds great :) I was looking at the deck plans, and jotting down some notes so I'm not completely lost when we board. :upsidedow Thank you for all that you've done. :)

Hi Sh3llMar :)

Just got my cruise documents in the mail today - yeah!!! :cool1:

Yay! :cheer2:

It's like that here every time it snows too. And if it's been a while since it snowed last, it seems like every one "forgot" how to drive in the snow, even though it's an area that usually gets snow.

We got our cruise documents this week. Can't wait!

Word of caution for those participating in the fe.. we have done it on all ten of our Disney cruises and unfortunately there are kids who will steal what is in the fe..sometimes the fe too. Its sad that this happens but kids who have free roam without adults do these things.. I have always wondered what their parents say when they see this stuff in their kids belongings. We have complained to guest services but they can't really do anything. They told us all public areas are under surveillance and they would send crew members walking the stateroom halls more. I hope that if you participate that this does not happen to you.

How sad is it that you have to worry about people stealing something you worked hard to make! :(

Cruise docs arrived in today's mail!!! :cool1:

I have always attached my FE to the "fish" with a plastic zip tie. Then the only way it can be removed is to be cut off. Of course that doesn't stop someone from stealing the "goodies" but considering the 4 DCL ships and all the DISBoarders who particpate in FEs each sailing--stealing doesn't happen often enough to stop the fun.

Hey Gang--getting closer every day! Just wanted to give you all a tip. If you are considering ordering bottled water or some kind of "gifts" through DCL, you may want to consider ordering a gift basket from Shirley at The Perfect Gift instead. I've ordered something for my family for all of our previous cruises. The "basket" will be in your stateroom when you arrive--and it makes arrival really special! I was thinking about ordering the 6 bottles of water through DCL but then I remembered that I can have Shirley put some in a basket for me. Here's a link to the DIS discussion about her baskets/gifts.http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1723220&page=34 If anyone is really interested, I can post pics of our past baskets. They are really neat and more cost effective than ordering something through DCL.
