We had lunch in Animal Kingdom Saturday, April 12. We chose Pizzafari, since our fave, Tusker house, is changed. We LOVED Pizzafari.

DM-Chicken parm sandwich, chips, soda, frozen lemonade
Me-Chicken parm sandwich, grapes, soda, frozen lemonade I gave to kids
DD3-PB&J, chocolate milk, applesauce, grapes
DD6-Pizza, lemonade, frozen lemonade, chips

The chicken parm sandwiches are awesome. Huge and delicious. If you like a lot of sauce, ask for extra, as they are skimpy with it. We enjoyed the atmosphere here. Make sure you get here by 11:30. After that, the line is well over 30 minutes.

Cost: $40.00

We had dinner at Le Cellier. I love this place.

DM-mushroom filet, virgin pina colada, cheesecake
Me-mushroom filet, virgin pina colada, cheesecake
DD3-hot dog, celery and carrots, chocolate shake, ice cream sundae
DD6-hot dog, celery and carrots, smoothie, ice cream sundae

The filet was so tender and delicious, I couldn't believe it. The kids loved the hot dogs. The coladas and smoothies/shakes were included on the plan at almost every restaurant. The cheesecake was just ok. I really love the mousse but was SOOOOOOOO full, I couldn't eat it. We had to eat unexpectedly early this day as we won a dream. We ate lunch, then went to get Goofy's autograph at Camp Minnie-Mickey. We won a dream extra hour at Magic Kingdom, from 7:30-8:30PM that same night. We had a 5:30 ADR, but I knew we would miss the dream if we did that. So we went to Le Cellier right before 4PM and asked if we could get in. They were able to accommodate us, but since I had that huge sandwich earlier, I wasn't that hungry just 4 hours later. Oh well, we enjoyed ourselves.

Cost: $123.86

Sounds great so far...

So My BIG question... Is the Mousse still on the DINNER menu?

Thank you
Angela

Went to Backlot for lunch specifically for the veggie sandwich. It was pretty good, though not great.

DM-veggie sandwich, soda, strawberry parfait
Me-veggie sandwich, soda, strawberry parfait
DD3-hot dog, carrots, strawberry parfait, choc. milk
DD6-chicken nuggets, lemonade, applesauce, carrots

Cost: $42.39

Dinner was at Mama Melrose for Fantasmic

DM-chicken parm, vigin pina colada, chocolate truffle cake, soup
Me-artisan bread, Butcher's cut steak, virgin pina colada, tiramisu
DD3-spaghetti, soup, ice cream
DD6-spaghetti, soup, ice cream

This meal was awesome. I know a lot of people say they don't like Mama's, but we thought it was great. The steak was especially good, as was the tiramisu. The chicken parm was just ok.

Cost: $112.81

We hung out at the pool today and ate at the Boardwalk Bakery. The line for this place is RIDICULOUS! It took us over 1/2 hour to get our food.

DM-I forget
Me-Turkey sandwich, soda, chocolate croissant
DD3-Turkey sandwich, choc. milk, brownie
DD6-forget

Cost $46

The sandwiches were HUGE. There had to be atleast 1/2 pound of turkey in these. The croissant and brownie were excellent. The brownie was more like a huge hunk of fudge. MMMMMMMMM. I'm making myself hungry.

Dinner was Garden Grill. The kids were very excited about the characters. Although the food here was not great, except the dessert, the characters were awesome. The booths on the bottom row are so high, you feel like you are in a private restaurant.

This meal is family style. We all got salad, turkey, pork, steak, cheesy potatoes, and green beans. The food was all very bland. The dessert, a puff pastry filled with cream and topped with strawberries, was EXCELLENT. I could have eaten another one.

Cost: $91.59

Pizzafari again. Same food as last time. AWESOME!

Dinner was at Kona. I love this place.

DM-filet mignon, frozen cappuccino, white chocolate cheesecake
Me-filet mignon, frozen cappuccino, chocolate fondue
DD6-chicken noodle soup, chicken strips, sundae
DD3-chicken noodle soup, burger, sundae

The filet was unbelievable. Very fresh grilled tasting and tender. The white chocolate cheesecake was just ok, as was the fondue.

Cost: $99.28

We were in Magic Kingdom today, and I was looking forward to eating at Columbia as I've heard such good things.

DM-kid's chicken salad(she let my older one have chicken nuggets), 2 applesauce, soda
Me-lighthouse sandwich, soda, chocolate cake
DD6-chicken nuggets, applesauce, chocolate milk, strawberry yogurt
DD3-same as DD6

The lighthouse sandwich consists of hummus and brocolli slaw with some sliced tomato on a whole grain bread. It is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

Cost: $50

Great reviews...& I totally agree on that hummus & brocoli slaw sandwich...yum!

:goodvibes Thanks! Your reviews are very helpful. You've got me wanting to try that sandwich at CHH. :goodvibes
