April 10 2010 Disney Magic EBTA "Bound for Barcelona" - Part 5

ok I know I need to send the books out to those who atteneded the workshop but please bear with me - I am very sick, our basement has flooded some, and I am still dealing with helping my hubby find clothes and his luggage along with on going tornado sirens going on and off for 2 days straight now = we have had 11 inches fall in 13 hours.

I have not gotten the group picture scanned in yet but I will and send them. I will be uploading pictures to my facebook account - from my camera - and if you are not already my friend on facebook - just ask! Krisann Duncan Blair is my facebook name!

Funny story! :]

OMGosh, Krisann!!!! Too funny, but must have been frustrating! Speaking of funny...still getting a kick out of the laundry lady LOL
So good to meet you! Wish I could have met more of our great group.

Still shaking my head over that lady in the laundry room - it just made no sense to me - how does she know that the inside of that Disney bag was any cleaner than the metal table - but what blew my mind is that she said she would not put wet clothes on the metal table (or in a clothes basket that had dirty clothes) but would put dry clothes on the table! :confused3

ok did anyone take an actual taxi to the airport from the ship? If so what was the cost? We get to the airport on the morning we sail and not sure if we will do disney transport (unless we do not have to claim our bags?) that morning.

Information obtained from PassporterBoards.com, and DVCnews.com:

ORLANDO, Fla. -- WFTV obtained information Tuesday about an accident involving a woman who was injured last Thursday when a rented two-seat motorized boat she was riding in collided a Disney ferry boat. The accident happened at the Treehouse Village on Disney property.

According to documents released by the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the ferry driver and the driver of the two-seat boat tell different stories of what exactly happened.

The captain of the Disney ferry boat, William Green, told investigators that the Sea Raycer motorized boat was driving recklessly and crashed into the ferry. Captain Green told investigators that the Sea Raycer went underneath the Disney ferry and popped up in front of it. Green said that’s when he noticed that the woman, 61-year-old Barbara Wormald, was injured.

Taxi was 40 euro per taxi. Max 4 passengers so we had to get 2 for the 5 of us. One of the officers onboard told me his wife came from the airport to the ship and it was 30 euro. We were in the taxi by 6am and at the airport very quickly no traffic.

All that talk about transfers and I ended up cancelling and using a taxi too.... he was doing tours the day before and we spoke to him.....brand new Mercedes wagon/SUV...sat all 7 of us comfortably....VERY English speaking driver who spoke alot about the city on the way to the airport. Plus you well know the kind of lugage I had and a dbl stroller to boot. All fit no problem. 80 Euros.

So I've just about made it through 2 days at work - and no my luggage is not unpacked.

I am having Disney cruise withdrawal and hope that if my luggage stays packed, then I'll be back on the ship. Right? :3dglasses

I want to go on another cruise. I may have my sister agreed to go, I'd just have to get her from N. Ga down to the ship. That's a feat all on its own.

Hope others are having a good day.

60 euros for 5 of us in a nice large van. We asked our driver who took us around Barcelona the day prior if he'd come back and get us the next morning. He was waiting for us at 6AM. DCL also came and took our luggage down in the morning and to the driver. We were thrilled. I was so worried about the morning in Barcelona and it went very well. BCN airport was quiet and easy to navigate. No problems whatsoever. They stamped our passports and away we went.

It was nice to meet many of you. We had a great time and thankfully did not get sick on the ship or upon return.

Posted a few photos on Facebook and post more soon. :surfweb: Hopefully soon after that I'll post some to Photobucket to show off here. :thumbsup2

While I unpacked all the suitcases into the middle of the dining room floor - I still have not "put everthing away" yet. And now as I start going through things I am starting to pack them again for the next cruise - I had 18 months to plan the EBTA and pack - and I have less than 4 months to get ready for the next one :scared1: I wish more were also coming on the WBTA! I really enjoyed meeting new friends and seein WBPC friends again! Thanks to all for making the cruise so great! (and I loved all my secret mickey stuff - the scarf is one of the things on my list to take on the WBTA).

Thanks again everyone for a great cruise!

Oh and I still have lanyards if anyone needs any :) I somehow made it home with like 20 or so of them - not on purpose I promise:dance3:

So, I keep wandering around with a tray in my hand wondering where the Topsider's buffet line went. Can anyone help me?

Hi, Brack, glad to see you're also safely back in FL. We hit the lobby about 5, but I guess your family was long gone.
I got the near 1500 photos into the computer, but now I need to learn Photobucket, I guess.

Hi, Krisann -
Our "stuff" is back on the "staging table" I had set up in the dining room:eek:
You could have just put your stuff in storage in Barcelona, and picked it up in September - no fuss, no muss:rotfl2:

Meanwhile, I'd like to offer a public "Thank you" to you for all the organizing/cheerleading/moderating that you did.:worship:

And, I'd have asked for additional lanyards if they had been LIME GREEN:lmao: JUST KIDDING !!!

Who rebooked something onboard? I booked the Panama Canal but it is a bit much for me as a single. So I don't know if I'll keep it. I am really thinking about the 2011 WBTA. I loved all the sea days! I would be happy if I never got off the ship!
