Hey everyone! My son and I just moved over to this sailing today. We decided it would be more fun to take a trip during his Spring Break.

I am Monie and I'm travelling with my DS, who will be 11 years old when we sail. We're driving down from Atlanta 2 days before the cruise and visiting Disney World. We haven't been to Disney in a few years, so I'm EXCITED, to say the least!

Hopefully more people will see this thread and come on over to chat! We have quite a ways to wait for this cruise, but the planning is half the fun! :thumbsup2

Hello everyone! Just 'pushing' our thread to the top of the page. These boards move fast! :rotfl:

I have added your thread to the cruise meets list :thumbsup2

Hi Monie,

I am booked on this cruise as well. We are also booked on the April 10 - 5 night. Our school calendar does not come out until February, so I don't know for sure which one we will be on. I have a 9 year old son, who will be 10 on the cruise (as well as 6 yo twin girls). I'll post back as soon as I find out if this one is a go or not.

Hi Monie, glad to meetcha!!

We hope to book this date very soon. It will be our FIRST cruise!! :woohoo: Even better, will be our 5th anniversary celebration :cloud9: , so it's just me and DH (Cindy & Randal).

We're WDW junkies, so we want to book a day on property before & after the cruise as well. We just haven't decided yet which resort. :confused3

I'l bookmark this link, and keep following along. :surfweb:

Hello and nice to meetcha right back! :yay: I hope you're able to book the cruise soon; the rates have gone up and up just in this past week. I guess with all the publicity DCL is getting with the new Dream, the demand to cruise on this ship is high, so as a result, they've increased the rates on all cruises!

I hope you're able to join us! I'm a cruise veteran, but a WDW novice! I need to really research hotels, parks, dining plan -- all that good stuff. My son and I will have 4 days at the parks (2 days before the cruise and 2 days after the cruise). Any suggestions?

Hey all. We're booked for the four night 1 April 2012 sailing of the Disney Dream. This will be our family's fourth cruise with DCL . With older kids, we have to stick to the school vacation schedule, and that's our spring break.

My sister-in-law and family (4 total) and my in-laws are likely going to sail with us as well. But we are the Disney fanatics in the whole bunch -- me, DH 45, DW 43, DS 13 and DS 10.

It's a long way off, but that should make it all the more rewarding.

Hello and a big :welcome:!! I too have to travel during my son's school break, and this week is our Spring Break as well. As a single-mom, my son and I do better with the shorter cruises, so I'm so glad Disney keeps their ships doing the 3 and 4-day Bahamas routes.

I will add you to the roll-call list! :thumbsup2

Hi All
I guess you can add me to the roll call. DH, DS and I are booked on this cruise. Yea! :yay:
This will be our second cruise. We were on the Wonder this time last year and had a great time. We were booked on the 4/3/11 cruise, but sadly, had to cancel. I guess that just gives me something to look forward to next year.

This will be a spring break trip for our family, too. Where we live in Georgia it's Master's week so the kids are all out of school so the families can get out of town to make room for the golf fans.

I'm really looking forward to hearing about all of the planning that everyone is doing in anticipation of our cruise.

Hello and :welcome: to you too!! Funny, I too was booked on the 4/3/2011 cruise and had to cancel. So I'm really looking forward to going next year Spring Break. Should be a blast! :thumbsup2

I added you to the roll-call list. Not sure if you wanted to add the age of your DS, so just let me know and I'll edit the post.

Hi Monie

DS will be 13 (almost 14) when we cruise.

The 4/3/11 thread was so active and helpful. I'll love it if this one turns out the same way. I was one of the original Deck 7'ers and I've booked a 4C on deck 7 again. What about you? I'm a little concerned about reports I've read regarding verandah obstructions but my TA assured me that the cabin I requested will not have an obstruction. I guess we'll all know more about the Dream as more trip reports come in.

Hi again Nancy! You are right; the 4/3/2011 thread was VERY active. I don't know if I can take the lead like that on a thread, but I'll do my best to stay active on here. :goodvibes This is my first time joining a cruise meet thread, but I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and all the planning ahead. I think I'm most looking forward to the FE! Never done one before, but it seems to be so much fun, from what I've read.

Oh and I've updated your DS age on the roll-call. :)

I have this cruise on hold and am booking in a couple days, the cabins available are down to 5E and above!
I thought I was getting a head start on this when I got this brilliant idea the other day to take my 7 year old Granddaughter for her spring break next year!
I don't know when the bookings opened or what the price was but I am paying $2409.00 for 2 adults and 1 child, in a 6A guarantee, were they much lower than that?

I usually cruise once a year on Royal Caribbean with just my DH and am willing to give that up in 2012 to go on this awesome ship with our Granddaughter :)

We did a land and sea on the Wonder in 2008 and just Disney World last June, I can't wait to tell her we are going again, but that will have to wait until Christmas!

Take care
Donna

I booked this cruise a while back, but just now got confirmation that this will in fact be our spring break 2012, so we are officially planning on sailing on this cruise.

Our family is myself, DW, DS 8 and DS 6.

The best part is that our neighbor is coming with us, so it should be an ultimate blast.

We are on the 4/3/11 cruise also...anyone else doing the same week in 2011?

This cruise is booking up fast! I just did a spot check for a family of four. The lowest stateroom category now is a 4D!

We booked on the low end, and have a "guarantee" of a category 11. Maybe we'll get an upgrade, maybe not ...

I just went back and checked the prices, too. The same category I have booked, 4C, is now $880 more than it was when I made my reservation. Thank goodness I booked in January!

Hi everyone.....I too will join your thread as we just got off the dream yesterday and I rebooked while on the cruise. I chose a dummy date but changed to this date today when I matched it up with spring breaks. We LOVED the Dream and loved participating in the FE exchange. It was so much fun! I will be traveling with my dh and ds who will be 14 at that time. He had so much fun on the cruise last week. We did the parks the 4 days prior to the cruise. Look forward to getting to know ya'll over the next year.
