Just got back from an exhausting 5 days at Disneyland and California Adventure. Had a great time, but definitely a good reminder as to how much more relaxing the cruises are than the parks! April 19th can't come soon enough!

Never been to Disneyland...maybe one of these days we'll do a West Coast thing/Panama Canal crossing from "the other side" back to Florida.

Not big on going up to Alaska. I want to see snowy, cold and dark (yes I know the summer cruises look very pretty), I'll stay in Buffalo

Can't wait for April...of course it seems really far away now, but once school starts, and dance, and soccer, and basketball, then the holidays and the mad dash of that season....it'll be here before I know it.

It's definitely worth it to make the trip out to Disneyland at least once. It doesn't have nearly the same resort feel as WDW, but I like the parks themselves better than the ones in Florida.

Same with Alaska, definitely worth doing at least once. We've done several summer Alaska cruises and have always needed shorts.

Time always seems to go pretty fast from Sept. through the holidays. So much going on with back to school, holidays, etc. Come January though it is going to drag until April. We were actually planning to do this cruise in Feb. over mid-winter break, but it ended up being way less expensive to go over spring break in April.

Yeah, I agree. It did seem more rushed this time for some reason. They cram so much into those two parks that even with 5 days we didn't do everything. I thought the lines and crowds were pretty manageable for the Summer though. Mon and Friday were definitely busier than Tue, Wed, Thu.

Did you notice many rides being down? We seemed to run into rides being closed more than I would have expected.

Hello All!
So excited about our upcoming cruise
This is our 3rd Disney Cruise and we are looking forward to seeing the updates made to the ship. Thankfully we live in NW Florida, so we don't have to fly. I'll be traveling with my husband, son (10 when we cruise) and daughter (6). Our children don't know about the cruise yet and this is our first time with a FE group. Should be fun!

I'm excited about meeting everyone and enjoying our MAGICal vacation

You have to have a certain number of posts before you can PM. I'm not sure if it 10 or 20, so just keep posting on the boards and try at 10. If it doesn't work at 10 try at 20. Your post count is with your sign in name on the left side.

We got lucky.. Only nemo was down. However Indy broke 3 times in one day.. Finally got on it tho!
It's been 10 years since I last rode it, and 1st time for my daughter.. Still one of the best rides in all of the Disney parks!!
Few things have been changed.. Miss the interactive thing to do in line.

My Cruise update: Got my pirate night outfit completed!!! My DH said its the best costume if ever gotten.. Fit perfectly!

Working on my 2 daughters.. They both want to go has Zarina from tinkerbell pirate fairy..
Have the costume from the Disney store... But hunting down a blue pirate scarf/headband is getting difficult. :websurf: (Any help welcome)

I'm getting sooooo excited! For our cruise...


Ps. Any news on dinning rotations?

Thanks for the welcome and suggestions. Im so excited!! Ive already started shopping and working on pirate costumes under pretense of Halloween ideas.
Is there anything taboo for the FE gifts? Should we post anything about our preferences (like alcohol or no alcohol, etc.) or does it not get that detailed? I know allergies are considered (which we have none...). Just curious.

My family just loves the key fobs!
We only have two, and they are always getting fought over.

If I knew how to make them I would make them for our FE gifts.

After much searching, the only info if found was formal night is Normally the 2nd night.
