Appropriate Dress for Grand Floridian Cafe

I have a 6:30 ADR coming up for the Grand Floridian Cafe. I will be in the Magic Kingdom that day and was wondering if "Park Attire (cargo shorts, tee shirt and tennis shoes)" are suitable for this location.

Should I return to the hotel and change into a a collared shirt and pants, or is the dress code relaxed here?

I would say you are fine with a collar shirt anf kaki shorts.

But Disney doen't enforce the dress code in any restaurant besides Victoria and Alberts.

No problem my favorite restaurant is California Grill and we used to get dressed up. Then we saw most people wear normal clothes so we don't dress up any more. Just remeber it is a resort and most people are on vacation.

The GF Cafe does not have a dress code so you can wear anything except probably swimwear.

There is not dress code for the Grand Floridian Cafe. We usually eat there on our Animal Kingdom day and go straight from the park to lunch, if that helps you get a picture.

Tennis/walking shoes will be fine there. You won't be the only one wearing them.

It really depends on the level of informality. I've read accounts on this very board of men in sleeveless shirts being turned away from Jiko and children in frayed shorts/skirts not allowed entry to the California Grill.

Even for a signature restaurant (which GFC isn't), the cargo shorts, tee and sneakers are acceptable attire.

The prohibited attire listed by Disney for signature restaurants is swimwear, cutoff shorts, torn clothing, tee shirts with "offensive" slogans or graphics, and tank tops or hats on men.

We went the first day we arrived last week after driving all night we took a quick shower and put on shorts/ t-shirt/ flip flops. We were dressed as well as everyone else in the place except for the bridal party in the back. The table beside us said they had been at MK but every time they go they now leave the park for lunch to come there.

Shorts, tee shirt, and sneakers will be perfectly fine!!! Like others have said, this is not a signature retsuarant, and no need to worry at all. Just no bathing suits I would say.
