Was not sure what or if there was a "dress code" at many of the restaurants at WDW. We are planning on doing 3 or 4 character meals dinner at -Askerhouse, Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare and breakfast at Restaurantasourus. Also planning on Prime Time Cafe and probably Whispering Canyon both for dinner. I noticed that in some of the pictures people posted that they were wearing collared polo type shirts and it looked like slacks. We will likely be going right from the parks to restaurants and do not know if we will be going back to the room to change. Can you wear t-shirts, tank tops or shorts to the restaurants or do people usually get more dressed up? I'll bring/wear whatever clothes neccessary but was not sure what peoples experience has been.

I think for the ones you are planning, park attire is fine. We have gone back to change just to freshen up and make us feel better. Most of the other dinners are coming straight from the park. If you think you may not want to wear a tank, bring another shirt for everyone and leave it in your locker.

Have a great time!

The only restaurants that have "dress codes" are Victoria & Alberts and The California Grill. We have PSs for CG and were told that it is "business casual" i.e. no cut offs and tank tops, etc. We've also been told that they are not strict enforcers. We plan to wear khakis, crop pants and maybe even be daring enough to wear khaki or navy cotton shorts. :teeth:

"Park Casual" is acceptable in all restaurants except Victoria and Albert. Especially in the restaurants in the parks. Generally swim trunks, bikini tops, and men's tank tops (muscle shirts) are very strongly discouraged or even not allowed.

There is only one restaurant that has a dress code and that's V&A. We have never seen a person denied entrance to any establishment the the fashionazis say you should dress a certain way. We have seen those places with a variety of people in what was comfortable for them.

Im assuming DS13 can eat in his dry swim trunks & sleeveless shirt?
We're planning on using the pools (DVC) after our dinner & brkfsts at Grand Floridian, Contemp, Poly & Boardwalk. I'll be wearing my clothes over my bathing suit.

park attire is fine and is what most people wear. No one will giving you any thought wearing that.

Tanks are fine - My son lives in swim trunks and muscle shirts while we are there and we've never had a problem with the park restaurants. I've seen many people in tanks at the park restaurants without a problem.

Hello! We ate lunch at the restaurant in Italy (which was really nice), but everyone was dressed casual in demin shorts and tanks. It was great food, and also nice that you didn't have to dress up to eat there :earsboy:

If you look at any promotional stuff from Disneyworld any adult seems to be in a colared shirt of some tipe. Ususally males in polo's. We dressed for the parks like we would dress to go out and about. Dinner was the same, The only time we dressed up was for dinner on Valentines day.

Have fun!
