Applying for jobs in another state.

My sister lives in NC and is trying to find jobs in another state- she has a free place to stay there if she can get one. Should she be using the local address, would that be helpful?

I did that when I lived in NJ and was looking for work in Seattle and it seemed to work. However, I disclosed that I was "bouncing" from coast to coast until I had secured a position in Seattle. The phone number I listed was a NJ number.
