Hi! My name is Tiffany and I am from Crown Point, Indiana! I'm applying for the college program Fall 09...question is...when can I apply? Is there a set date? If anyone cone help me out with that it would be great! I am so excited and simply can't wait!


That was my first question...but i do have another. I was looking at the jobs that I could possible work and i would like to know what I would be doing on this job...I'm torn between three and i wanted some clarification on them...if anyone can help... Attractions... Character Attendant..... and...(last time i was at Disney World it was on my birthday, and i received a birthday pin from i think it was city hall on Main St. USA) I would like to know what job that would be, in what category is that? I would enjoy helping people with any questions they might have...

Welcome to the Fall 09 waiting club! A lot of us here on DIS are anxiously awaiting the application/presentation schedule. While it looks like school presentations will start in Feb, we're guessing that the online presentation and application will go up in late Jan (sometime around the 20th). So we have our fingers crossed!

As for your second question:
Attractions- This is where you work one of the rides, shows, playgrounds, ect. You assist with FPs (if there is any), load people onto the ride, work the line, and other things. I'll let someone who has done attractions chime in here.

Character Attendant- This is my role! I have done this twice now, and love it! As a character attendant, you assist your character(s), keep the queue line orderly, answer questions for guests, assist with taking pictures, among other things. This is the role (if I don't get performer) that I hope to get again for Fall 09.

The last one you mentioned is Guest Relations. CPs currently can't be in GR, unfortunately.

The housing is fine. There are 3 complexes for CPs to stay in. I have stayed in Chatham and Patterson myself (there is also Vista).

The transportation is ok. It is doable, but I wish I had a car.

I was wondering if the CP website will email you IMMEDIATELY once the application goes up or if you're better off checking every day yourself. (I'll probably check everyday anyway haha)

I would keep on checking personally (I'll be checking everyday myself, as well as keeping an eye on my email).

Gah i wish we could apply now!
I'm taking my car...well im buying one in a couple weeks
and if its good enough ill take it


its great to carpool with people down there though
i know ill be offering for people to go with me to the store and stuff like that
i dont like shopping by myself lol too boring

but when my brother was down there he did a lot of things
I mean, we'll be in CENTRAL FLORIDA
its going to be soo much fun!

Oh and if anyone wants to know, my brother worked on attractions
small world, peter pan, and the carosel
and he actually enjoyed it
he also saw christina agulara
he said she was small and her body guard was taking too long to get on the boat for its a small world so he started it with him standing up
lol
I know I talk about my brothers experience a lot, but i figure ill share the info that i know

I check every few hours at this point - people were saying it would go up on a Monday usually, and although I wasn't sure, since it's MLK day, I still checked the College Program website as soon as I woke up. And then when I just logged on my email, I had 5 new emails, and was really excited, thinking one of them may be from Disney, but.. no such luck.

Do they post it in the morning or later in the day, usually?

(Can you tell this is what takes up most of my thoughts at this point?)

Hmmm, tomorrow seems to be the day. I've been checking every day as well. Even though I won't be applying, I'm curious to know when the presentations are at schools nearby.

I really hope so... I don't know how much longer I can wait.

I had a dream about the CP last night - my best friend was dressed in a Guest Relations costume (which I was confused about, because.. it's not a role, and she's not applying) and said she was flying down that night, because she had to get some stuff done before it started the next day. And I was freaking out, because I didn't know that it started so soon, and I hadn't talked to my school, and I didn't have money for the plane down, and I hadn't packed... Ahhhhh!

I haven't even applied yet, and I'm already having nightmares about what could go wrong. Great.
