Any opinions on the stoves that also have an air fry option? I just ordered one from Lowes and my husband is very excited for this feature.

I ordered a GE Profile at the end of July and still waiting on delivery. It has convection oven and air fry option. I'm excited to try it. I will still likely use my Ninja air fryer when I do a batch of fries as it fits nice but for some larger stuff that I don't want stacked I'm excited to try the oven. For me the air fryer wasn't what I was looking for, I was very particular on how I wanted the door to look (a square of stainless steel vs just the top and bottom) and hidden elements. Turns out the one that met those needs also had the other features.

I have the Frigidaire version. I was hoping to see some replies here because I've actually never used the function.

It specifically says that it has an air fryer option.

Ah, okay. I learned something new today then! Didn't know they were making them with air fryer options now but that makes sense give the popularity of air fryers. I've not shopped for a stove since 2014 though - so I'm a little out of the loop!

I didn't know they made ovens with built in air fryers - I will definitely be getting one of those when our stove needs replacing. I have very little counter space and my air fryer takes up a chunk of it, but we use it so much, it isn't worth it to put it away every time.

We bought a Samsung that also had convection and air fryer last July. I’ve only used the convection oven once so far. I use the air fryer maybe once a week. I don’t really understand why they have both.

I want one but I have a 27 inch oven, seems like they are only available for 30 inch right now. So I had my oven repaired and am hoping that it lasts until they start making a 27 inch with the air fryer option.

I'm remodeling my kitchen if I can get everything worked out with our contractor and designer. I really wanted a steam oven but my budget isn't enough to afford one.

Convection ovens use a fan to move the heated air around to cook food faster. Works better with some foods then others and there isn't an exact time/temperature conversion, so if you do a lot of baking you will have to see what works/doesn't. Convection ovens have been around a long time and likely started in pro kitchens/restaurants. Air fryer seems like a fairly recent cooking trend to sell another kitchen gadget. Not clear why you would need a convection oven to also have the air fry feature (maybe just a difference in how the fan cycles?).
