Apple Scooters has recently raised their prices. They are still quite competitive against other
scooter rental companies. Also, they charge a different rate based on how many days you rent. So, a one day rental is $40 and you have to P/U the scooter. A 3 day rental is $85; hence, it's $28/day. A week's rental is $150; hence, it's $21.50/day. It varies depending on how long you rent; the more days you rent the better your price is per day. Disney does the same thing with their park tickets. The more days you buy the cheaper it is per day. Apple Scooters includes insurance on the rental. There is a website for Apple and it explains all their rates and the scooters he has available for rent. Prices vary based on models of scooters, too. Anyway, as far as I know there is no pricing variances based on season or availability. Apple has gotten very popular and I suppose since he has a better audience now his prices have increased. He is still cheaper than many scooter rental companies, but he's not the cheapest anymore.
I try to keep on top of renting scooters especially pricing; because, we rent scooters a lot when we go to Florida. Anyway, Walker Mobility recently opened a second company called
Allstar Scooters. Allstar has their own website; it's a separate operation from Walker. Don't call Walker. Right now, I feel Allstar is more price competitive than Apple. They include insurance, too. Anyway, if you are budget minded they rent the same kind of scooters as Apple. The prices currently for Allstar are $35 for one day (includes delivery) ($5 cheaper); a 3-day rental is $65 ($15 cheaper); and a week's rental is $125 ($25 cheaper).
There is an Allstar out of Macon, GA that has some bad reviews; this company is not the place mentioned above.
These two Florida companies still remain among the most price competitive companies out there for scooter rental. Both of these companies rent smaller scooters that are considered travel scooters like the GoGo.
I can't help with Cocoa Beach.
