Quite honestly, I dont see why they wont make it. They should have everything in the kitchen they need to make it. Ask to see a manager, then ask for the district managers phone number, then corporate! "No" should not be an option here.

I bet they cant because of the BBQ sauce. They used to have a dish that I loved with chicken with some special BBQ sauce. I asked for it last time I was there and they said they dont have the BBQ sauce anymore.

I'm not sure about you're area, but we've been told by management where I work (competition) that Applebee's is closing many stores in the northeast this year, alot of people will be losing their jobs. Not sure you'll ever see that sandwich again

Applebee's International Inc. will close 24 underperforming company-owned restaurants in 11 states, or 4.5 percent of the 528 restaurants it owns.

In a release Wednesday, the Overland Park, Kan.-based casual dining chain (NASDAQ:APPB) said it expects to take total charges of $23.5 million to $29 million in connection with the closings.


The company wouldn't identify which restaurants it will close. It did say that 10 are concentrated in two states in the Northeast and the remaining 14 are spread among nine states.

It operates eight restaurants in the Birmingham area.

Company spokeswoman Laura Tigges said the restaurants typically employ 60 to 70.

Applebee's said it will transfer about 80 percent of the affected managers to other restaurants and give hourly workers the chance to apply for jobs at other restaurants.

The company said the decision to close the underperforming restaurants is part of its strategy committee's review of the company's operations, which the company said March 12 would last six to eight more weeks.

Applebee's has more than 1,940 company-owned and franchised Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurants in 49 states, one U.S. territory and 16 other countries.

I realize everyone has their own personal taste, but seriously - Their new menu stinks. The place is NEVER crowded anymore. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why.

I agree the new menu stinks!

They took off my favorite a couple of years ago. I loved to get the salad, baked potato and steamed veggie plate. Now these are all things they still sell, but they will no longer sell them as a meal, nor will they let me buy it separately.

Still on my Applebee's menu here in Kissimmee..........

It's still here in Tampa too, but it costs more than in Kissimmee! If they take it off the menu here, my sister would probably lead protests outside the local Applebee's, she has never ordered anything else there. I'll sign the petition.
