As the crew were saying on the podcast, if an Apple store were to open up at DTD, I'd be in my glory! You couldn't keep me away!

What a great idea. And it makes sense, considering Steve Jobs' relationship with Disney. I hope this pans out and actually happens.

I'm going for the build a bear store....personally.... :rolleyes1

Don't forget....You can already Build-A-Dino in the T-Rex Cafe! ;)

ETA - I just listened to the DL Show and the crew already commented on this. LOL. :)

duude ... im totally not down with that being an apple store!! virgin is so cool and alot of the merch was pretty unique. i can only hope that disney will replace it with something just as interesting. who buys a computer or ipod on vacation anyways?!

Well, in my case, having the world's largest Apple store at DTD wouldn't hurt when I'm trying to convince DP to plan another trip to WDW. :lmao:

Wow that would have to be the biggest Apple store in the world!

I think it would do exceptionally well, but crowded with teenagers is incredibly accurate:lmao:

There's one in Chicago right off Michigan avenue that is a couple of levels...every time we go into an Apple store it's always insanely crowded so at DTD I'd imagine it'd be insanely crowded as well with very few people making purchases of laptops or anything. Maybe they (Apple) could look into having a repair center or something there as well for any iPods, iPhones or anything that gets broke while at Disney. They could drop it off at the front desk have it shipped over to the store at DTD and have it back to their room that night maybe? I personally never take an iPod or anything to Disney, but all the time see people walking around with their headphones in....I personally think it's silly because it takes you out of the experience of Disney of taking up all the music that is playing and what not.

:thumbsup2

Oh but a bear is so much better hahaha!!!!

I have a strong bias as I am a bear collector and love making one every year we go to Disneyland. Maybe this year I will just have to settle for a Dino

Heh...now that would be one huge Build A Bear store! The Build A Megabear Store? ;)

YES! That's it! GEEEEEENIOUUUUUUUS!

Okay so maybe it's a little big for a build a bear, but that's a bear collector's dream lol!!:rotfl2:

No not Apple, who the heck can afford anything in that store :confused3

I love Apple. I hope it is an Apple store.:goodvibes

A apple store would be great
boys spend ages in the one in NYC

I've never been to an Apple store

What do they have apart from I pods and computers? I can't imagine many people go in there to buy stuff if this is the case?

Just curious really but as someone who doesn't have an I pod or anything I think maybe I'd go in to have a look around but wouldn't go back :confused3 Am I missing the point?

They have all the computers setup and all the apple products and software and what not...but they have them setup so that you can play with them. Most of the time it's just a bunch of teenagers taking pictures with the webcam and sending them online to their friends or facebook....I definitely think it'd be a draw for the kids to have something to do as opposed to some of the other stuff at DTD that they may not be as interested in.

I'm sure they would sell me a travel charger for my iphone/ipod every vacation. I am pathologically incapable of packing one of those. :sad2:

You would think this is the case. I work a couple of blocks from the one on Michigan Ave in Chicago. It is always crowded and as far as I can tell does VERY well (it must to support that much space on Michigan Ave). And, the cheapest parking around is going to run you $20. If that store can thrive, certainly one at DTD (where parking is free) would also do very well. It would be a good move for Disney too, as a lot of locals would likely make the trip to DTD just for the store.
