We will be renting a scooter from Apple Scooter for our upcoming trip. We are renting the Go-Go Elite Traveler Plus (3 wheel). Can anyone tell me if the seats on these scooters get hot? Should we bring some type of seat cover - suggestions? We have a shower cap, extra large garbage bag and bungee cord in case of rain. I made a sign with our family name to help identify the scooter. Is there anything else that we should be thinking of? The scooter is for my MIL who has very bad arthritis. This is her first trip. She will mostly be using it to cover the large distances, and then walking to nearby attractions. Appreciate any helpful tips anyone has.

We have rented from Apple many times. The scooter will arrive at your resort with a tag on the front with your name on it. The seats will get hot so when we are dining or need to leave the scooter outside, we will either put the back of the seat down or put a towel on the seat. We also take a plastic bag, etc to put over the steering column to keep it dry if it rains.

My mom is under 200 lbs. with terrible knees so I'd really like for her to rent a scooter. Would you recommend a 3 or 4 wheel scooter?

Husband owns a go-go elite 3 wheel scooter but when we rent from Apple he gets a 4 wheel. He says it has a more stable feel.

Dh has a go go elite we take to Disney. The only problem we have it not three or four wheels, but the height clearance. If we hit plates over lapping on ramps and entries it stops and needs to have the reset on it hit. If your going for apsavings three wheel is fine. If you want great stability and no worrys rent a larger height clearance.

I like the 3 wheel as it is easier to turn, maneuver, esp. In the ride lines.

We are on property this week and rented the 3 wheel from Apple. WOW...the last couple days have been HOT! Yes, the seat does get very hot, as do the arm rest. We have tried to park in the shade. We carry a lightweight (frog toggs) rain jacket..these Florida storms come up quickly! We use the jacket to cover seat/arms when we have to park in the sun. There are several rides that require you to transfer from scooter to complimentary wheelchair. Ellen's Energy Adventure, for example, had no shaded parking.

We have been very pleased with Apple. Hope you enjoy your trip as much as we have!! :cheer2::yay:

We have used Apple for my mom's ECV several times and she too likes the three wheel. She says it's easier to maneuver in the crowds.
