I am thinking about upgrading to the Apple IPOD touch (not the phone) and wanted to get people opinions on it. Do you find it easy to use? Do you find it easy to access Wi-Fi spots to get on the internet? In general what do you like/dislike about it?

I LOVE it. Easy to use, wish more places had wifi available. Only thing I wish it had was longer battery life.

DBF loves his. He has little issues connecting to WiFi, we have WiFi at home and he surfs regularly on the couch while I use the laptop. He hasn't complained about the battery life either.

I LOVE my iPod Touch. Generally, I only use the wi-fi at home. Haven't really looked other places much.

If you already have another kind of iPod, you probably won't have any problems learning to use the Touch.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my iPod Touch!! I have the 30Gig one. It's fantastic for viewing photos. It allows me to browse the internet (with my home wi-fi) without having to turn on my laptop computer. And, best of all, I can download full movies from iTunes!! I have 12 movies on it right now. Movies in my pocket, it's like a dream come true for me! The picture is great and the sound is great.

I've used wi-fi in hotels and such and it always works easily. Battery life could be longer, but I've never had a problem with it. Just plan to charge it when you arrive somewhere, if you use it to watch movies while on a plane or something. The touch-screen is great and they've updated some of the software recently, which made mine even easier to use. Super simple and super fun!

Did I mention I LOVE mine?

My only caveat about the Touch is that you can't do anything online that requires a Flash player. Couldn't do the USA Today crossword puzzle and can't play any of my games on Facebook. That said, I got mine a few days ago and love it so far. I've gone online at home and work no problem. Love finding new apps!

I can put a couple movies and games on a 8gig I touch. I am considering buying one for my trip.

Can someone post a step by guide on how use Wi-fi. Point to a site the will show me how use it. I going to New York this summer and I would have internet for the week.

I have enough credit points that I have saving to buy a use one from a used bookstore so I can get free.

The worst thing about my Itouch is that I keep finding apps to get (mostly free by using App Sniper) and the Itouch only allows 11 screens full of apps!

Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya, and I'm an App Addict.

I use the Kindle app all the time, have about 20+ books on there!! I can check my email faster thatn on my computer (one click...) and keep up on Facebook! Also have recipe finders on there!

I listen to bible devotions every morning.

I too have collected many apps and have to take some off when I find new ones :)

Wish Wifi was more available out. Especially the grocery store. Would be great to check ad prices, etc.....

I don't go anywhere with out my touch!!

Wish it was cheaper to get movies on it tho...

We love our apple ipod touch and iphone. They could not be easier to use and the sound and video quality are excellent. I would suggest that you get a minimum of a 32 gig touch as you will run out of memory too quickly on an 8 gig.

Follow the link in my signature for free apps.

I'm thinking of getting an i touch and have a dumb question. There are no monthly fees since you're just hooking up with wi-fi where available, right? So after buying the i touch is all I'd pay for the apps I want and the music I want? TIA!

That's correct

There are alot of free apps out there (there is a thread on the budget board) and free music if you look for it. I have downloaded free audiobook from my library and free ebooks from amazon for my kindle app. I got one for Christmas with a $20 GC and still have $6 left :) but I am VERY frugal on what I buy to prove to my husband that the touch was worth the price :)

Thank you!

My DH and both DS's have them and love them. They are easy to use. There are a lot of great apps.

My son uses our Touch more than any other electronic item. The Touch was mine, but became family property when I got my own Iphone. I love both devices.

Most McDonald's, Starbucks, Barnes and Nobles, Paneras, etc are now offering free Wi-Fi connectivity. I've never had a problem at these places with the Iphone or the Touch.

It really is a great device for music, games, videos, etc.

I bought one!!

I was thinking about buying one for a while, and this week Target gave a $15 gift certif with the purchase of an i-touch so I took the plunge. I used my gift certif toward a case and some screen protectors. Is there anything else I need?

I have no clue how to use this thing, but I know that I'll love it once I start figuring it out! :goodvibes

Love mine. I hooked up to WiFi easily at the Dolphin and then at BCV's in their lobby. Many places have free including our public library and Arby's even.

At WDW I could look at the hotels and see WDW attraction and ride wait times and that was cool. Of course, couldn't use it in the park yet but who knows, maybe someday. :)

Love it. :)
