Apple iPad deal at Target

Purchase an iPad - Air and Mini - at Target this week and get a $100 Target gift card this week. Available on line and in stores. Starts today and am assuming it goes until next Saturday. From the specs I see this appears to be for CURRENT generation iPads but check that carefully if you do buy, it's not such a good deal for the past generation.

This looks to be a better deal than Apple's back to school education discount that came out recently. That gives you a $50 Apple gift card on top of their education discount, which is $30 on the iPad Air. Doesn't look like there's an education discount for mini's from what I can see.

I just saw that too. I want to get DH an iPad for Christmas. If they do an extra discount on Cartwheel I may jump on it. Wonder if the deals will get better closer to the release of iPad Air 2?

The regular iPad is bigger and heavier by about half a pound. Also does not have the most up to date processor in the A6X vs the A7 that's in the iPad Air and Mini. Only comes with 16GB memory while the others can be had with up to 128GB. For all this the iPad is ~$100 cheaper.

A lot of places don't carry the iPad and word is it won't be offered by Apple much longer. It doesn't look like Target has it and if they do I'm not sure that it qualifies for the gift card deal.
