Apple is giving away giftcards with certain purchases. I just ordered my daughter's MacBook for college and got $100.00 giftcard for use on apps, ITunes, etc. The purchase has to be used for students or faculty .

This is the same deal they run every year and it is better than nothing, but they used to give you an iPod. I still have some of my GC left from when I bought my Mac Air 2 years ago. The only thing I have ever used it for as to upgrade the OS. I will probably keep it just for that. Being in IT, there are just not many apps that I need that I can't get for free.
