what better for a cool autumn day than a warm apple crisp for dessert tonite?..serve it with ice cream or cool whip!
5 apples, peeled and sliced (I used fairly large ones)
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
3/4 cup Quaker Oats
3/4 cup flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 stick butter softened
1/2 cup apple juice or water
preheat oven to 375 and grease a 9 x 9 pan
put half the apples in the pan..blend together remaining ingredients EXCEPT water or juice, whichever you are using, and crumble half the flour mixture over the apples. Cover with remaining apples and flour mixture..pour juice or water over top..Bake 35 min..serve warm or cold
Enjoy!
