Apple Crisp at Columbia Harbour House...reviews?

Has anyone tried the apple crisp at Columbia Harbour House? If so, can you let us know what you think of it?

Here's why...
My family LOVES homemade apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. For some weird reason we got into a habit of eating homemade apple crisp and listening to the music from the Soarin' ride (at home, not at WDW). I know, there is no reason to connect the two, except they are two things we love. We decided we needed to find somewhere at WDW to eat apple crisp and I found it on the menu at Columbia Harbour House. We're planning on getting some there on our next trip to WDW. But I'm hoping we're not going to be disappointed. My homemade apple crisp is pretty good! We had some tonight and DH insisted I had to come to the boards to find out more about the WDW version LOL! He's ready to pack up the car and head to Florida to get some. Any excuse to see Mickey

To me it really isn't what I consider apple crisp. I think it is more like apple pie.
I thought what they have was just okay and I would have preferred it to be warm.

Oh I had it..I didn't eat all of it because I was full..it was good....I would have liked it warm. That's how I eat apple pie and anything like an apple crisp when I do eat it.

Thanks for the replies. We eat our apple crisp warm. I wonder if they can heat it up some way. Has anyone asked?

It is not that great! Some vanilla ice cream would have helped!

It's probably one of the better counter service desserts since it's not pre packaged, but it's more like an apple dumpling than apple crisp. I enjoyed it but there's really nothing crisp about it.

I found it fairly repulsive, lol. It's quite soggy - no business being called a crisp.

I didnt care for it either. It was more like apple pie.. no ice cream... kinda gross to be honest.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll give it a try but we'll just get one to share. If it is a disappontment to the family, then they'll just appreciate my homemade apple crisp all the more .

As others have said, it tasted just like an apple pie to me. I enjoyed though, the pastry was good and the filling was fine, compared to other pre-packaged cs desserts it came out on top.

Thank you for the picture of it! That doesn't look like my apple crisp at all. We'll try it but at least we'll know to expect something completely different. It does look more like a pie than a traditional crisp.

I think the chocolate cake at Columbia Harbor House is one of the best things I've ever tasted, so I've never been tempted by the apple crisp.
