Appetizers on DXDP for Children

On the regular DDP when they removed the apps from adults they did not for children 3-9 but that was always just a vegetable or side. So the DDP TS and the DXDP entitlements were the same for kids but adults on DXDP got a regular app.

The new brochures for this year do not list that the DDP 3-9 get an app at all for TS but of course they do for DXDP so does that mean that the children's entitlements are now different then before at TS?

Do kids at Teppan Edo on DXDP get a soup or salad?

I have not seen any discussion about this change but it definately is printed as different entitlements then before.

Children 3-9 on the deluxe plan still order from the children's menu. Their appetizer is whatever is listed on the children's menu. They don't get appetizers from the regular menu. The only exceptions are possibly some restaurants not operated by Disney which don't have appetizers on their children's menus, but I don't remember which ones.

I do not expect an adult app

I just wondered if the print change in this years brochure actually reflected a difference in the 2 plans.

does anyone know if Teppan Edo gives kids an app (soup or salad) on dxdp?

No one has yet reported any change in the use of the regular children's DDP.

As for Teppan Edo, they'll get what's on the children's menu. If there is a soup or salad on the children's menu they'll get it. If there's no "third course" or appetizer on the children's menu, it's going to be up to the restaurant as to whether the children are allowed to order one from the regular menu.
