This is silly but I have a reservation at Yak & Yeti and only want to get apps and drinks. It's just weird to go to all the trouble to just get that. Do they care? I just don't want a big meal at the time I got. I want the ahi tuna nachos! Lol. We do not have DDP for table service, so this is cash meal.

No problem at all. Enjoy!

We did an all appetizer meal at California Grill then watched the fireworks. Server didn't seem to mind at all, and I also tipped higher than normal since he wasn't getting his normal tip for that time of night.

We are actually doing this more and more for the variety of food and costs at WDW. Had a great spread of appetizers at Marrakesh one day for lunch.

I did this recently at a few restaurants in Disney. It was not a problem at all.

It really depends. A good server won't care, or at least won't show that they care. And for most appetizer only orders there usually is a good amount of alcohol being ordered. But sometimes you will get treated differently in the same way sometimes your treatment goes downhill if you don't order alcohol.

Of course we eat at the Y&Y bar, but we (Mrs U and me) usually get soup and an appetizer each.

The bartender is quite happy with the extra food order along with our usual drinks.

I usually only get an appetizer and drink and it's never been a problem. The portions are so huge in WDW, I waste a lot of the food if ordering an entree.

I also think it's fine if you just want to make a reservation to get an appetizer and drink at Yak & Yeti. However, I would look into the Landry's Club ($25 to join, but you get a $25 voucher) for priority seating or perhaps see if the bar is available, so that you don't have to make a reservation and can to whenever you feel like it.

Unless you're on the dining plan, you can order any way you want. I order appetizers most of the time, they're just better than a lot of the entrees. As for whether they care, I don't care whether they do or not.

We are thinking of doing appetizers and drinks:drinking1 at San Angel for one of our dinner ADR's during F&W, not on DDP. Read that have great margaritas and they are from LaCava del Tequila I think? Don't want to do dessert anyway at San Angel, just want to relax and chill, there are too many GREAT OPTIONS for dessert at F&W. ENJOY! :goodvibes

We made an ADR for La Hacienda de San Angel and just had drinks and appetizers. I don't think it is uncommon.

San Angel, La Hacienda and La Cava are all operated by the same company.

We do it, but only when we sit at the bars or lounges. It's the same food and we like the cozier atmosphere along with not taking up a table or having to stick with an ADR

I often order an appetizer as my meal, along with a side item like a side salad. The portions are more reasonable and I like the variety.

I ordered 3 appetizers at Jiko last year and probably spent more than if I'd had an entree or even an entree and an appetizer (I did share one appetizer with DH who also had an appetizer and entree himself). Sometimes I prefer the appetizers to the entrees so will have multiple appetizers. Sometimes it also lets me have dessert which I don't normally.
