I am going to a party tomorrow evening and need a fast recipe for an Appetizer. Tomorrow is such a busy day and I want to make something good that doesn't take ages.....

Thanx!!!

Sounds perfect!!
Have you made it JennyMominRI? Just wondering if you used the horseradish?

Thanx!

I make it all the time..It's really INCREDIBLE..I don't add the horseradish,as some in my house don't like it.. This dip gets more praise then anything else I make, and I cook a ton of things.. I serve it with sliced french bread cut in half..I'm getting hungry just thinking about it,lol

If I am making this for a 'drop in' for about 15 people...should I double the recipe?

Thanks!

You might want too. Or maybe 1 1/2 batches

Here is another one that is great.

1 can of artichokes in brine NOT OIL
1 cup of mayo
1 cup of parmesan cheese
1 can of green chopped chilies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix everything put in a glass pie plate, bake for 30 minutes serve with tortilla chips.

It is wonderful

Baked Brie with Pecans

small round Baby Brie or small triangle of regular Brie, rind sliced off
1 package refrig crescent roll dough
pecans or pecan pieces
brown sugar
egg yolk beaten with 1 teaspoon water
crackers

Oven 350 deg

Wrap the bottom and sides of brie with crescent roll dough. (You probably will not need the whole package.) Sprinkle the top liberally with pecans and brown sugar. Brush the dough with the egg yolk and water. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes, till dough is golden and cheese is a little gooey. Serve with some good water crackers or melba toast. Very impressive-nobody will guess how little trouble you've gone to!

It was a hit!!
I even forgot the Scallions and it was a huge success!! OOPS :confused3

Love this recipe...

Also appreciate the new add on recipes!! Dips of anykind are great....devilled eggs seems a bit too easy! :rolleyes1 Though also good....

I doubled the recipe...I think next time I wouldn't double the bacon as I thought (tho nobody else seemed to) that it was a bit salty and figured the bacon contributed to that..

Thanks again for sharing :wave2:

Here's an easy recipe for hot spinach dip (when I say hot, I mean not the cold version made with Knorr's soup mix. This is the kind served in restaurants like Houstons and TGI Fridays)

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded parmesan cheese
4 oz. cream cheese
2 cups heavy whipping cream
5 tbs. mayonnaise
1 lb. chopped spinach (I buy the frozen and defrost it in the microwave)
salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients over low heat, stirring until cheese melts.

I serve mine in a crockpot on low. You can add a small can of artichoke hearts if so desired, DH doesn't like them so I leave it out.

I serve it with tortilla chips, salsa, and sour cream. I like to mix the salsa and sour cream in mine...it adds a bit of zest to it.
