Appetizer AND soup/salad on DDP?

I'm a little confused on this. For example, at Narcoossee's, there is a section of the menu for "Appetizers" and one for "Soup and Salads". I know on the DDP you get an appetizer, entree, and dessert. My question is, do you get to pick from which section of a menu like this one, do you get BOTH on the DDP, or what? Thanks!

No, not both. You can pick an appetizer or a soup/salad.

Of course, and I intended to do just that at Artist Point. However, my server did not charge me for the salad. We tipped accordingly!

Okay, so I have another question about this.... at California Grill, there is the Sushi, First Course, and Main Course sections. On the DDP, do you order from all of these, or do you order a main course and sushi OR first course?

You can order what you wish, but the Dining Plan only covers the cost of appetizer, entree, beverage and dessert. Expect to pay OOP for anything else you order. Having said that, at California Grill, some, but not all, of the sushi qualifies as appetizer, and I believe the rest (perhaps just the one, Yoshi's Special) qualifies as entree.
