Hi, has anyone appeared in a parade? If so which one? Can you still apper in parades? What did you have to do to be in it and what did you have to do when you were in it?

thanks

I have never been in one of the parades, Stal. I'll just bump this back to page one for you and let some of our veterans offer advice.

I hope you can join us in chat this evening. Our transatlantic trip planning chat is at 7:00 pm GMT (or BST I always get confused by that).

At any rate, it's 2PM est in the US :) I wish you would join us.

Hi stal!

In Jan. of 2002 my family were the grand marshalls in the 'Stars and Motorcars Parade' The cast member who asked us was terrific! Dh, dd 9, dd7 and ds4 and I were walking down the main street at MGM and squabbling about what we were going to do first, we were headed towards the time board to plot out our day. The CM approached us asked if he could help, we chatted a little about where we were from, impressed him with the fact we left 6 ft. of snow :teeth: Then he asked if we were going to be here all day dh said "until you kick us out" (He thinks he's funny....) The CM then asked if we wanted to be grand marshalls, dh actually hesitated for a minute! I always accept volunteer requests! :D
The parade itself was fun! Dh and I were dressed like band members with the hats and plumes, we carried the banner, the kids were in the back of the car waving. Just before we were to start a CM said "don't worry you wont know anyone" I asked him "do I look that bad?"
As we were walking down the street they were announcing where we were from and someone from the crowd yells out that they were from a neighbouring town. Dh looked at me and shook his head. I seem to get him into the oddest situations, he is quite reserved :teeth:

My sister & I were chosen to be in the Jungle Jammin' Parade in 2001 - we were taking our seats close to the beginning of the parade (which is near Kilimanjaro Safaris) and a CM walked up and asked us if we wanted to be in the parade.

Man, it was a blast!! The super cool thing is that as our parade float came through the doors, the CM took our picture with a disposable camera and then gave the camera to us, so we have a picture of ourselves on the float. It was awesome!

Good luck!
