Appears to be Noro on the Wonder

I noticed those numbers earlier and that's what made me think to ask. I hope Starwind can find the final total the same place he found Disneys.

I'm assuming their numbers were larger in percentage than Disney. Because my sweet Disney, works harder than anyone else to keep our vacations special.
And if they didn't I'm going to assume they don't have a kids pool. I can't imagine how difficult it is to watch over and maintain healthy control over a kids areas.
Looks like percentages were higher, but total number affected was in the same approximate range.

We were on the cruise as well.

To be honest, maybe because it's where we were (8th deck front), or because we tended to relax in the room or on the veranda instead of the 9th deck, but we didn't see anyone get sick. The pools were closed a LOT. We'd gotten a phone message on the 2nd night about cleanliness and washing hands, etc. Definitely noticed the self-service being gone (only really bothered me for soda - seriously, a kids cup means I'm going to be on line 4 times).

My kids spent some time in the clubs, but not a lot, so I'm sure that helped as well. My 9 year old felt the club was too little for her, and my 13 year old was just being anti-social, though she stayed through Gender Wars until 11:30 the first night.

When we did venture upstairs, though, the top decks were usually a lot clearer than they had been the first night.

At Christmas one year our 2yo daughter got it. Like a good child she shared it. Unfortunately my wife was 7 months pregnant. I left my son with neighbors and took my wife and daughter to the ER. They rushed my wife to maternity triage because the vomiting and dehydration had put her in to labor. They kept her there and ran 7 liters of saline into her over the next 36 hours (along with drugs to stop the labor.) It was scary. I brought my daughter home and left her with the neighbors and then went back to the hospital to stay with my wife. When my wife stabilized I picked up my kids and went home. As soon as we walked in the door my daughter threw up (again) all over the kitchen. And then I discovered that the cat had thrown up as well. Of course by the time my wife got home I had it.
And the topper: The wonderful neighbors who took care of the kids got it 3 days later.

That was one infectious bug.

OMG -- what a horrific experience that didn't seem to want to end. I hope all is well and everyone healthy now! It really is a good thing you were on home ground.

They are also available through Amazon. The U.S. Staples site also has them, as does the U.S. Amazon site.

I assume that means give it a good wipe (if using spray, let it sit) and then wait 3 mins before wiping off or doing anything else.
We brought these exact wipes to Disney World this past March. As self-proclaimed germaphobes, we always wipe/ sanitize hands after each ride, and try to wipe down the tables before eating. We were even more crazy about it this trip, as we kept seeing piles of vomit around the parks. We went 8 nights... thought we left unscathed... then a couple days later, my daughter came down with a stomach bug. Could have been from the 1-2 days she was back at school... but also she could have picked it up at Disney..

I've never heard of a Noro type virus on an airline. Has that ever happened?

I know they had the famous Legionnaire's Disease in the 70's in a Philadelphia hotel -- that was probably a precursor to the Norovirus.
I am POSITIVE i got the norovirus one time on an airline heading to FL. This was several years ago. I was deathly ill the next day (noro comes on fast) and this was prior to my hand sanitizing on planes prior to eating, after touching seat buckles etc. Interestingly enough a week later coming home (same airline mind you), my friend sat in her window seat only to see vomit in the cracks near the window beside the seat (nasty!) obviously they don't clean well at all. We asked to move.

NOTHING grosses me out more than vomit. We found a used vomit bag in one of the pouches once -- just lovely.

Yes, I am bringing these wipes along with these individually wrapped wipes.

I knew when all was said and done our numbers would be better than theirs! I was rooting for you Disney I knew you could do it!

We are currently on the WBPC. The crew has been serving at the buffets(Beach Blanket, MDR, Palo Brunch, drink- and Icestation) for the entire week now. Galley Tour has been cancelled, late night snack abandoned. They are really working their b..ts off and that is starting to show on some. They really do a hard an excellent job. Rumor was that this should be lifted after today's call at Cartagena. Personally I think it will be dropped once we clear Panama Canal tomorrow. At Captain Pucket's lecture we learned that the PC authorities are strict on ship's health and can delay a passing on health issues. DCL will not take any risk about missing the PC timeslot. So probably tomorrow we may seem a lift of regime.

Meanwhile we are having a fantastic cruis!

It is being reported that there is now stomach illness on the Magic and they have taken measures to reduce self serve at drink stations and buffets.

My goodness they sure are tired it started 3 days before your cruise and a full scrub down the day you set sail. I really feel for that crew.

I saw some tweets about it earlier - @TheDCLBlog was retweeting some of them. Haven't seen anything official, so it hasn't reached the 3% at least, but I'm sure after the Wonder outbreak they're being extra cautious on all the ships!
Yeah, I read Scott's retweet.

Going on the wonder in 18 days...this feed is very reassuring. I am a germ a phobe. It sounds like the staff is doing an amazing job and the ship will be very clean in between cruises. I do feel bad for the staff working so hard - I hope they don't get sick. I even have my own supply of surgical masks I can bring on board to wear :). I just can't wait to go on vacation!!!

Will you let us know what it is like when you get on the Wonder for your cruise? For example, are they back to putting out treats at the Cove? Thanks so much! Sailing in June to Alaska!
