APP question: Changing Royal Gathering time without canceling?

I booked a time slot for Royal Gathering on my cruise, but I’d like to check if there’s any times later in the day to change to…I don’t see any option to see other times now that I’ve booked. I only see a cancel button. If I hit cancel, can I see other times before I lose the time I already have? Or will it just automatically cancel and I run the risk of being left with nothing?

Pretty sure it will just cancel unfortunately- I would hold on to your time and go ask at guest services once on board if there is any possibility of moving to a different time.

It will just cancel. I did this on my first cruise. I booked it before the cruise when the booking window opened but then on embarkation day I got a Palo Brunch reservation which was the same time as the Royal Gathering. I went onto the App to just cancel it. But as soon as I cancelled, I was surprised to see other times available. Those times only showed up after I had canceled, so managed to rebook for a different time, which I hadnt expected being able to. Its just a risk you take.

I tried this with Palo reservations. It used to give you times, and then if you tried to book, it would cancel the other one, but it seems like they've now gone back to the old way where you have to cancel first and then take the chance that you won't get another suitable (or any other) time.

This is a long-standing problem with booking excursions with DCL. And, yes, someone may grab your slots as soon as you cancel. Just a matter of timing for both you and them
