I’ve been making my dining reservations and have had several days where I’ve booked restaurant B and the availability has come up at restaurant A. When i go to book restaurant A, it brings up the “conflicts” screen, asks me which reservation I want to book, I choose A, and the app then gives me an error message saying the request can’t be completed BUT I then get an e-mail confirming the res at restaurant A and the res for restaurant B is never canceled, leaving with with two reservations at two places at or near the same times. I realized this when, while going through the “my plans” section, I have 4 lunch ADRs on the same day in a 2 hour window. They show up on both the app and via the website. I called to make sure my reservations were confirmed and they said I’m “lucky” and all reservations are valid, but couldn’t explain what happened.
Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a chance Disney may “correct” and delete later (possibly deleting the wrong reservation)? I’m going to go in and cancel what we don’t need, especially since I don’t want to be charged no-show fees, but I have one day where this happened where I was trying to split the party (have two reservations 5 min apart) so we do want to use both and I’m worried I may lose one if I start messing around. I’d hate to get closer to the date and have everything lost somehow if the app tries later to “fix” this. I realize this is bizarre and Disney is saying they’re all valid, but I also know CMs may not always have the correct answer, especially when it comes to the technology, so I’d like to know if anyone else has encountered this issue and what happened. I don’t want to have dragged myself out of sleep at 5:45 each morning for a week just to have our BoG and character meals canceled by a glitch or something. Anyone have insight?
(All That said, when i’m confident I can cancel something without risk of losing everything or losing the ones we actually want, I intend to pay the “luck” forward with posts on the cancellation thread!)
