OK so I am totally in to a new book series and was able to pull myself out of the second book long enough to let you guys know I am totally taken by these book;)

THE TWIGHLIGHT saga by Stephanie Meyer

I would totally suggest to anyone who is a hopeless romantic, teenage girl, or anyone who loves a good vampire story!!!;)

Katie,
I REALLY want to start this book, but I KNOW it will take me forever to read it. I'm just not a quick reader. I'm also a little chicken. I know this book is about vampires. Will it give me nightmares? I know - I'm a wimp, but I can't even watch Ghost Whisperer.:rotfl:

Don't get me started on Ghost Whisper after what happened last week!

Katie - I've been wanting to read those too!

Vampires are HOT!

I'm listening to the series via audiobook. Still on book 1! Trying to finish it before the movie comes out...

Sometimes I hate the fact that I live so far from work, but then it gives me the opportunity to "read" so many books on the commute! I think i've "read" more books in the last 6 months than I have in 6 years! I just check out audiobooks from the library, load them onto my iPod, and listen away! (I do delete them from my iPod & iTunes once i'm done with the book)

I just finished listening to the entire Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. Even though they are clearly targeted to teens, I thoroughly enjoyed them! I've also started listening to the Princess Diaries series. I've only got one of those in though...Need to download some of the series from audible.com cuz I can't find them in my library.

But all of those other series of books are on hold until I get through Twilight! :)

Just finished the third book last night and bought Breaking Dawn this morning!
Can't wait to see the movie - I'm sure it won't be as good as the book, but I want to see how it plays out.

Yep, those books consume your life when you're reading them! They are really good reads - and, fortunately, pretty quick reads, too.

There's a monster Twilight thread over on the CB. Lots of cool info about the series & movie there

I consumed.. yeah CONSUMED the series in the span of 10 days. My friend (who lent me the books) and I will be going to the movie together. She says she has another series for me...he he he.

So great to see other Twilighters here on the Dis board!
I´m totally crazy for this book series, like really crazy! I actually bought the "Bella Engagment ring" from Twilight teez and now it is my actual engagment ring. Thanking my guy for that. To bad you can´t buy an Edward too.:lovestruc

So, which team are you all on? Team Edward or Team Jacob or maybe Switzerland? Sorry if I´m geeking out too much now:blush:

If i was Bella I couldn't decide! I love them both! Probably Edward though, he is so dreamy in my head! :lovestruc

yay!
Twilight has sucked another reader in!
it is my favorite book series!
TEAM JACOB- Because personally i like my guys with heartbeats:lmao:

Yay for Twilight!!

I finished the last book a couple nights ago, and I thought it was great! I am indeed Team Edward, even though Jacob is pretty cool. I would probably be a little scared to date him because of his "hot" tendancies.

Despite my love for the books, there are a couple of times that I want to force-feed Prozac to these people, but then I remember these books are for teens. If someone's not depressed, then something's wrong. :)

Still, I love the books. The movie looks like it's going to be great, but I'm crossing my fingers for the next three books to be made. New Moon would make such a great movie!!!

Oh, I started this series a few weeks ago and am on the third one - I'm really enjoying them.

I doubt it will give you nightmares, nothing explict or gory.

I'm listening also. I used to commute an hour each way to work and got hooked on audio books many years ago. I think I was a charter member of audible.com - I love them, they are a great company. Now my commute varies but I still listen to a lot of books. It's amazing how much "wasted" time that I can listen - in the car, walking through the mall and grocery store, on the plane....

I'm still Switzerland, although I'm leaning towards Edward, I don't like Jacobs attitude.

So what did you all think of Breaking Dawn? Good or bad? Personally I just feel sad, the characters were so different...

I totally devoured all 4 books last weekend when DH took the boys deer hunting - I started reading Twilight on Thursday night, and was done Breaking Dawn by Monday night  I then started Twilight again, this time much slower, and just started Eclipse again yesterday. I skimmed through so much the first time around, I have to read it again to get all the "details."

Breaking Dawn was different, but I can't remember both laughing and crying so much from one book. I had a really hard time when I realized part of the book was from Jacob's prospective, as I really think he's too much of a smart-a## for his own good, but it was hilarious.

Can you tell I'm team Edward :worship:

Nope, I can pretty much guarantee no nightmares.

Daydreams and fantasies, however, are a completely different story! :rotfl:
