Apleebees!! HELP

I could be wrong but maybe about a month ago I saw a post about an Apleebees fraud. Something about being charged more than your bill. We ate there tonight and we used our Visa/ATM card. Our total was about $47.00 and then the waitress came back and the total on the bill said $51.00. She then took the bill back with our card again to rering it. When she came back she apologized and said the computer charged us for a dessert. Please help me find that post. Or does anyone know what I am talking about???

<font color=navy>We had that happen to us a few times over the years, but this happened at Dennys, Bakers Square, a Chinese restaurant near my home... I always check the bill for mistaken charges.

I remember this posting, I think. It was something about a woman's husband drank/ate at an airport bar, and he was handed his charge slip (which was two receipts?). A different party a table over was paying at the same time, only cash. The server took her hubby's check and the second party's check, and rang them both up under one credit card and then pocketed the cash.

I think that's the way the story goes....

If I remember correctly, I think the thread was about someone who used their card at a restaurant. And then someone (a waiter) stole the CC number and used it over the course of a month or so to charge meals and things to it at the same restaurant. The restaurant itself was not trying to scam anyone.

Your situation to me sounds like a mistake. However, I would keep an eye on my CC statement for a while just to be on the safe side.

edited to say: maybe there was an Applebee's fraud and I missed reading about it.
