We are considering an early October trip to Universal. Would like to stay at PBH (never been there), but would stay at HRH if the rate was much better (stayed there twice). I thought I could probably get a decent APH rate for that time of year, but none is coming up on the Loews website. The only thing they list is the "Stay 4, Play free" rates. The lowest rates for those are $309 for PBH garden view, and $294 for HRH pool view.
Even though they include two park passes, we would still have to buy two more, so those rates are not too enticing to me. Does anyone know if APH rates will be released for Oct? Should I try calling instead, or maybe a different website? Thanks!

APH rates are generally being released late so i reckon you'll have wait. Oct is also HHN period so I guess occupancy will be high and cheaper rates rare. We are currently on $179.20 for Mid - late Oct at RPR AAA rate.

Maybe try calling PBH reservations? We got an APH rate of $159 for our early October stay (booked it three weeks ago). :earsgirl:

Thanks for the replies. I called Loews, and they gave me the exact same rates I saw on their website. Then I called the PBH directly, and found that they DO have APH rates for the dates I need, they are $184 (yay!) for the first two nights, but $278 (ouch) for the last night. The woman I spoke to said that that day (Wed 10/5) is the start of a higher season, thus the rate change. I tried every different discount to get that last night down, but no dice. Oh, well! I also tried re-arranging my dates a little to end earlier, but can't juggle the air. I guess I'll just have to suck it up and pay the $278

I'm glad you got the APH discount for the first two nights :) The $278 sounds a bit high for an APH discount though. You might want to check back with them periodically to see if they are offering lower rates. I did a quick check on the Loews website and they have a AAA rate of $227 for 10/5 which you could change if a lower rate does come out. Hope this helps :earsgirl:

We don't have AAA, but thanks. I will keep watching and hoping that rate goes down, but when I looked at the couple of nights after it, they were over $300 APH! I guess with Halloween Horror Nights, that's high season.

I got RPR for $159 for the first week in October.
