I was reading more about the APEE and it said to bring your confirmation email. Well, if we are able to do it, we'd have to sign up while there. We are not bringing a printer with us. :rotfl: Not even sure how well our internet connection will be and might have to use the phone number they gave. To anyone who has done it, do you have to show an email? Now that they have let hotel guests go everyday I hope they are still letting APers sign up.

I used my APEE on 7/14, and I did not need my confirmation, nor my ID.

What they did was have CMs stand in the esplanade. Other CMs directed the APEE'ers to have our APs out, and they scanned them with hand-held scanners. We then proceeded to the CMs who had wrist-bands, and they put them on our wrists for us. Then we got in line to enter the park.

It was very well organized. :) (I do talk about it on this week's podcast)

Ok, thanks. That's what I thought. I assume the confirmation email was just in case of mistakes, but I won't have one. I'll give it a try and see what happens.

just a thought...are you staying in a hotel that could print it out for you if needed??

We are staying at CCI so no office center or anything like that. It seems like it would be more trouble than it's worth to do that. Good idea though. Thanks!

I confirm as she has said. We went this morning for AP EE into Disneyland and didn't need my paper email confirmation although I had my email ready to go on my cell phone. Just needed to scan our AP passes by 2 different CM's! We DID NOT EVEN GET WRISTBANDS to which my teenagers were disappointed (they like to collect them). Don't know about California Adventure until next Saturday (7/28)as we are registered for that day.

No wristbands for APEE at DCA on 7/17 - CM just scanned the pass with the handheld scanner at the leftmost turnstile and waved us through.

Maybe they aren't doing the wristbands anymore since they've opened it up to resort guests as well?

No wristbands or email needed for us either on 7/17 to DCA.

But, we were quite disappointed that the hotel guests also get EE. When we checked into the hotel, we were given a slip of paper saying that DCA EE was MWF, DL was TH. So we thought using the APEE for DCA on Tues would be nice to avoid the hotel crowd. Alas, that's not what happened. They let hotel guests go to either park everyday. Ugh. Of course, the APEE lines were slower than the hotel guest lines.
CM said they had to do that since the hotels have had the EE everyday for quite some time now and they have to contiunue it--despite what that little slip of paper we were given that said otherwise :mad:

APEE doesn't seem to be much of a benefit after all.

Yeah, that was just changed and I was disappointed too! All those hoops they make APs jump through like registering and not being allowed to sign up less than 3 days before. If it is just open to hotel guests everyday, then they should just allow APs to show up too, even if it is only once per AP.
