I was reading some posts about Annual Pass's.. How does that work? I already have our tickets.. so if I wanted to upgrade to that would I just do it while I'm there and what I already paid for my tickets would be subtracted from the total of the Annual pass?

And it's quick and easy. We did it in December and was great! Gave us a little more time to save up for the extra cost rather than getting the AP before our trip.

As the others said, it's quick and easy. Just make sure that if you want to use the MM entrance on your Park Hopper, that you do it before you upgrade. Once you upgrade to an AP, you don't get any more MMs. On the other hand, if you're concerned with discounts, you'll want to upgrade fairly soon in your trip, so you can get the dining and merchandise discounts that come with your AP.

So the best case is, use the MM on your PHs early in your trip, and as soon as you do, then upgrade to APs so you can use your discounts.

You *can* do it at the ticket booths, but you'll still have to go to an AP processing center anyway (to get pictures taken etc etc), so you might as well just do the upgrade there to begin with.

And yep, you get credit for what you already paid!

Just go to the AP processing center, no need to wait in 2 lines. It's very easy to do, took us about 30 minutes tops and that was 4 AP's and photos. Well we did wait in line too....LOL

Anyone at a resort hotel with any valid ticket (just a park one or an AP) can go to any offered MM with their room key.

It would depend on what type of AP you wanted, and how much you paid for your 3-day hopper. You pay the difference between the AP cost and the amount you PAID for the ticket, so if you bought the ticket at a discount, you will lose any savings on the upgrade. That would depend on how much you paid for the 3 day hoppers. Disney will credit that amount towards the AP. Current price for the AP's is $329 for Deluxe but there are other AP's available as well. The amount you paid will be printed on the back of your hopper and thats the amount you'll be credited.

You can upgrade to an AP any time during your visit but not after.
