HI,

I know there are no AP rates for Christmas/New Year's week. Can I still book with AP and get the dining plan, just pay rack rate? I hope that makes sense. With new rules, if you have AP, you can get DDP added to your ressie. Since this just became effective this year, I am wondering if anyone has been able to do this?

Yes. The Annual Passholder vacation package with Dining Plan is available year-round at rack rates. It's the same as a full-price Magic Your Way package except that you don't have to buy tickets.

Yes like the others have said. I'm doing that for our January trip. There will most likely be no AP discounts for MLK weekend as there were none last year. So we are arriving on Saturday for one night. I checked online via the AP website and I can book a room for one night and add the Dxddp for the one night and plan to use the TS credit for my arrival and departure days before moving to my DVC resort. I figured for the $72, I'll get a mug and 3 TS credits, plus 2 snacks. I think that is a great deal. Since it's a continuing reservation when I switch to another DVC resort, my mug will go with me, of course, I'm moving to the BWV, so a mug there is pretty useless. This gives me the best of both world. Some nicer places to eat, but not having to do the DxDDP throughout the entire trip.
