AP vs. Email/Postcard rates

I've read that some people were offered even better deals at mods and values with their email/postcard PINs. However, I'm curious as to what the rates were for the deluxes. How can the emails beat the $139/night for a standard-view room at AKL or WL?

So, can someone enlighten me as to what the rates were offered with the email/postcard PINs? Just curious ...

It seems to me that the Email/PIN codes were cheaper than the AP Rates for Regular Season. I remember some posters sayin Poly Garden view was $239 per night vs. the $254 per night I was offered. I think those who got the Email/PINS were lucky and saved some money.

My guess is that Disney realized that the rooms were booking fast with little or less availability than normal and decided to rase the AP Rates for the regular season this year. Can you blame them!?

I got a e-mail pin, and it allowed me to get woods view at wl for 137+tax. from what I gathered from the pricing of other resorts the pin number was at least 50% off the normal rate.

I was quoted an AP rate of $165/night (not including tax), so $137 is a heck of a deal! Better than the standard room quote of $139/night!

also Contemporary rate for wing standard was like 160 including tax

I think post cards and e-mails were better for mods and values...we were offered $55 a night at value and $79 and $99 a night a mods. When I asked about AKL the best I got was $206.

actually the e-mail/postcard pin number rates for deluxe were better than AP. Only problem was WDW only allocated certain rooms and number of rooms to these pin numbers. So the sold out quickly or your choices were limited as to what type of room you wanted.

Here's what we were quoted:

Value: $59=tx ($65)
Mod: $79=tx ($88)
mod: preferred location or water view $94=tx ($105)
deluxe: AKL standard $124+tx ($138)
AKL SAV $184 inc tx

Did not check other deluxes as they were sold out for our dates. Booked three (different dates). When dates became finalized cancelled and booked POR MYW pkg with dining plan using pin code for room rates. Total for 4 nights, 1 ad, an 11 yr old and 12 yr old (which are Disney adults for the pkg) = $1468.
