AP Vouchers?

Please,

Has anyone booked AP rates in the past and has had luck just showing the voucher. If so which resort and how recent?

My parents just did this on 4/5 at POFQ. They showed the voucher at checkin and then were told to return sometime in the next few days to show the AP.
