AP UPGRADE QUESTION

I want to upgrade my family's AP's from preferred to premium when we are there in July, we use flexpay, and they are not available for upgrade until October, with that said, I called about doing this yesterday and was told, I could pay off balance of contract which is 2 months of payments, $244 then upgrade to premium 3 park which is what I wanted to do to avoid paying $280 for 1 day at volcano bay, with the premium pass no blackout dates in July, the problem is she said at that point I would enter into a new contract, paying full price for new Ap's not the renewal rate which is $137 difference x4 plus my early payoff is a total of $792, I don't mind paying off contract and upgrading but my problems is not getting the renewal rate, and also having to pay half down again for the flexpay option instead of just the lower monthly payment because it's a new contract, If that's the case if I just waited till October and then upgraded to the 3 park option with the preferred passes and don't upgrade to the premium, will that be considered a new contract and I will not get the renewal rate?

Not sure

I renew my prefer ap yearly since 2003

THe email I received this march states I could upgrade to the platinum with only a $100 increase
3 park ap
Do not know if this was a special thing for me or not

No flex plan for me involved

Have read the discount for renewal rate not in effect when changing levels

Policy presently is a tad confusing
Suggest to send email
To get present facts on costs to pay off flex pass and the upgrade to 3 park ap
