AP Upgrade Interrogation- heard about it but wow!

I7) When is your daughters birthday?-
"it is today as a matter of fact:love:- we are here to celebrate"

Just wondering if you had to input your daughter's b-day when you bought the e-tickets? Or was she actually validating that you were who you said you were for the AP??

Maybe they ask more questions depending on how many of your PH days you have used. So if it's your last day on your PH and it's later in the day maybe they ask more questions to make sure someone isn't doing the scam that lulubelle described. If it's the first day of the PH people aren't likely to give their ticket away so it's more likely that the the people who paid for the PH are the ones who want to upgrade. Just a thought since it seems like people are having vastly different experiences. I'm sure it depends on the CM too. Hmmm... OP, you weren't looking extra suspicious that day were you? :rotfl:
we did
one on the 5th day of a 6 day hopper. And the other on the 6th day. We actually had the same woman for both. :scared1: But I see where all that would make sense. And I don't begrudge them fom asking questions at all. Just the rudetude that went along. I especially want some magic when I am spending 400$ :wizard:

Just upgraded my 3 day hopper yesterday, on day 3 after MM. The only question I was asked was first day of use. I offered up the info that I bought my hopper for a discount (LMT for around $148) and I only had to pay the price difference as if I had paid $184 for my hopper. So, I only paid $115 to upgrade, instead of $151-ish like I was expecting. :confused3 She thanked me for my honesty and that was that.

It once took me 40 minutes to upgrade a ticket to an AP due to incessant questioning. The original ticket media was a hard plastic card good for 3 DL / DCA visits within a 100 day period, sold to SoCal residents in grocery stores.

The cards had a line for a signature, but not even a Sharpie stuck to that Teflon coated card. The CM wanted me to give him the specific dates and times we'd used the tickets, surprisingly difficult for a day-tripper running up and back from San Diego.

Eventually I outlasted the nth degree. I understand why they do it, but really the onus is on Disney to adopt a system that prevents ticket reselling / passing.
