AP Ticket upgrade?

We are undecided as to which APs we want. We are definitely going to get either the preferred or premier passes. My question is can I get the preferred pass and then upgrade to premier? If so, is there a time limit as to when I can upgrade? Thanks!

The two passes are basically the same for park access, unlimited access to IOA and USF with free parking. It's the other perks that need to be studied. Parking upgrades, valet, a little more discount on food, comp. Halloween Horror Nights ticket (I think). You can always upgrade but I think it will be for a full year with existing credit from the Preferred applied not just upgrading the remainder of the Preferred year.

Unless you really think the additional benefits are worth it, I would stick with the Preferred but you will have to access the price difference and decide. Unless you're going to take advantage of the additional benefits, I would spend the additional money. I've had my Preferred AP since 2004 and have no plans to upgrade.
