AP room rate question

Hi Everone,
Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked a million times before but I don't seem to be able to search and I'm anxious for an answer.

When do AP discounts for rooms come out? In other words how far in advance? Are they offered all the time or are there busy times when they aren't offered? Are they offered at all the resorts?

We've become DVC members this year and have decided to get AP's to cover our February and December 2004 trips. Then yesterday DH and I decided since we are going to have the AP we might as well go to WDW for our 20th anniversary in August instead of Cozumel like we were planning!

We are actually going to have enough points to cover Sun-Thurs at BCV or Boardwalk but I wanted to stay 2 more nights so I was thinking since it's the 20th maybe we could splurge on the Grand Floridian or Polynesian.

Someone over at the DVC board wisely told me that once I got an AP I'd be trying to squeeze in more trips. They were so right.

Thanks,
Cathy K.

Remember there is no guarantee they will come out. They skipped the entire month of September recently, which was a slow time. They have a limited number of rooms depending on resort occupancy.

I copied these dates from mousesavers:

1/1/03 to 2/12/03, released 10/28/02
2/17/03 to 4/9/03, released 1/27/03
4/28/03 to 7/3/03, released 4/21/03
7/4/03 to 8/23/03, released 5/8/03
10/02/03 to 11/24/03, released 8/28/03
11/28/03 to 12/26/03, released 8/28/03
