I became an AP holder for the first time in May, and I just received my first Mickey Monitor. I just want to see if I am understanding something correctly....

On the back cover under Passholder Calendar, they have listed:

SEASONAL BLOCK-OUT DATES: Aug. 1-18, 2005; Dec. 22, 2005 - Jan. 5, 2006; June 10 - Aug. 17, 2006; Dec. 22, 2006 - Jan 5, 2007.

By "Seasonal Block-Out Dates", does this mean that there will be no room discounts for those dates; specifically, the majority of the summer?

I have taken two trips this year with my AP, so I have certainly gotten my money's worth out of it, but this will be a major factor on whether or not I renew my AP.

Thanks!

No that isn't what it means..you are safe to get a room (no promise that there will be AP rates though). The black out dates are the dates that seasonal pass holders canot get into the parks.

So I can't use my AP for park admission during those times?

I'm sorry if I'm being dense :o - is a "seasonal" passholder the same as an annual passholder?

There is a differance between being a Seasonal Annual Passholder and just a Regular Annual Passholder. A regular Annual Passholder can enter any of the four parks on any day during their valid pass dates.

Cool! I had never heard of a Seasonal AP.

Thanks for clearing that up!

A seasonal passholder is a Florida resident option. It's a cheaper version of an AP for them.
