I was playing with some figures on the WDW passholder site (AP newbie here)
I see the room discounts which are pretty good - and I want to add dining. Is there no park ticket requirement unlike regular packages? I am the only one with an AP - or is it expecting everyone to have AP's?

Thanks

Hi Joanne - I don't have an answer to your question, sorry, but I have a question for you. Have you activated your AP yet? I just bought one online yesterday and I'd like to access the AP members part of the site, but I don't know if I have to wait until after I activate it or if I can use the voucher when it arrives in the mail. Thanks and hope someone more knowledgeable comes along for you!

Every one in the room has to have the same package. You would only be able to book a room only since you are the only one with an AP. There is no ticket requirement for the dining plan for AP holders, as long as everyone on the package has an AP. You might be able to book the package and then add tickets for the others later, but I am not sure about that, but my guess would be no.

Last Dec when all of my family was going, all the AP holders were done on one package and all the ones who needed tickets were on another package.

All you can do is call 407-W-Disney and talk to a CM.

You will have info on the back of the voucher that will allow you to access the website. We bought our vouchers at AAA to get the discount 3 months prior to activating them and was able to get discounts for the trip we activated them on.

The info will change once you get them activated, but it is possible to access with the voucher.

Only one person in the room has to have an AP to be able to get the discount.
Then, you may add the Dining Plan to everyone on the room regardless of their ticket situation.
You cannot add tickets to the package though, so anyone without an AP will have to purchase their tickets elsewhere, and the tickets will not be attached to their KTTW card.

I booked an AP Room Only rate with Dining in January. I had an AP, my DH did not. We bought his tickets at a ticket window at Epcot.

Awesome - I was thinking it worked this way as there was no message that AP's were required.

Thanks

You can use the voucher. There's a place on the sign-in page for passholders to enter the voucher number.

There is currently no ticket requirement for an AP package, unless it's free dining. If you're paying for the dining plan, only one person in the room needs an AP, and everyone in the room can get the dining plan. The others can buy tickets separately, including from a discounter.
