AP renewal MB selection

I have no idea where to post this thread so I picked here.

We're renewing our passes in 2 days (May 11th). We are Florida Residents and we use the monthly pay option so I need it to be on the same date as the last year because that's where it falls in my budget. Our passes expire on the 22nd. I noticed the new, upgraded MB plan has a roll out date of the 15th. I can't remember for the life of me how long we have to customize our bands after we renew. I'd like to hold off until the new bands are an option, but I don't want to change my bill due date. Does anyone remember/know how long we have to customize them before they are mailed out?

I don't know about renewal specifically, but I didn't customize my AP MB until a little before my second trip, so 8+ months into my AP.

The customization process for AP MBs is different from Resort Stay MBs. For the AP MBs, once you customize you have to click a "Ship Now" button before they are actually sent out. I haven't ordered the MBs from my last renewal (July 2018) and the option is still available.

Very nice. Now, I just need to call AP services and ask them if I renew on the 11th but don't customize my MB until the 15th, if the new one will be an option or if it goes off the renewal date and I don't meet the cut off. I know with resort stays, it only applies to reservations made after the program rolls out. I will post back here just in case there is anyone else who is curious.

Since I called and double checked, here ya go: If you need to renew your annual passes prior to May 15th, go ahead and just wait until after the 15th to order your bands. You will be eligible for the upgrade as long as you haven't ordered your bands yet.
