Trying to work out whether it's worth buying one AP for our party of 3 when booking a room for end August. Three nights using the Stay more discount comes to $756 after tax.

I know it's too early to get AP rates yet but any ideas when they will come out and do you know what they are likely to be, based on past experience?

When looking for AP rates on the Universal website, do you have to key a promotion code or do they just pop up - tried to look for typical rates for dates in April/May but nothing coming up - maybe because none available due to Spring Breaks etc?

You put in APH for annual pass rates, think they only available at the minute till first week in June, probably be at least another month , or even after Easter for rates.
You can book the room, then if they have a good AP rate, you can phone and have that rate applied, and you can then proceed to order your Preferred Annual pass.

That's brilliant - thanks.

I had tried a few permutations of the discount code - PAP (preferred annual pass) etc.

Seems to be quite a saving over the 'Stay More' price over $80 a night for the garden view rooms - any ideas how soon rates will be out for August?

After 14th Aug is Value season, last Aug at RPR, i think it was about $140+tax a night, maybe even less, did you check some of the older posts with their booking rates.
